Wild Sweet 3rd Review

Yes, this is my 3rd review on them. I haven't finished trying all their cakes yet. It was my brother's birthday so I bought him the Apricot Milk Chocolate Crème Brûlée 'Chantilly' cake ($23.99) and I also got the Prêt-á-Manger Desserts: Tarte Framboise ($3.99) to try.

Both presentation was not bad.

The cake, I thought it had 4 different layers. The first layer was just cream, then apricot, some kind of mousse (reminds me of the yellow yolk paste from those buns and mooncakes) and a shortbread kind of thing at the bottom. The shortbread had a buttery taste to it which was nice. The cake wasn't filling, well, I split it into like 12 pieces so everyone gets a slice. (pictures aren't very good this time.)

I actually didn't like this cake as much as the last 2 cakes. I guess I liked more of the chocolate taste inside the cake from the previous 2 cakes. This one tasted a bit too normal and a lot of cream.

The tarte framboise was similar to the cake above. It had 3 layers, cream, berry mousse and shortbread like bottom. The cream itself had no taste, I thought it would be sweet. The berry mousse had a slight sour/tangy taste to it which was nice. The shortbread was buttery but I didn't find it crunchy.

Overall, I thought this time wasn't as good as before, maybe because I expect a bit more after 2 times? I will still try their other sweets, just not these ones again.
