Talkshow - Marriage

I like to watch/listen to talk shows sometimes. I find some of them funny and I like listening to other people's opinion on certain topics. I was listening to this radio show about love fortune for the 3 broadcasters. One of the famous HK fortune telling man was saying how it's easier to find a second marriage after the first because you already went through it once. Then they said how getting married once is better than not getting married at all. You can divorce afterwards so tie the knot first or have a kid before getting marry.

I'm like...they talk like marriage is not a serious thing, somewhat irresponsible. Just marry whoever and divorce if it doesn't work out... I'm not that type of person. If it's not right I'm not gonna marry them just because I can tell people that I'm married. I rather stay single forever then having to marry someone that's not right and regret forever.

They were saying how as they got older they don't mind "lightning marriage" (getting married after a short period of knowing each other). I never minded that at all. To me, I think if it's right and both have feelings for each other, I don't see anything wrong with lightning marriage. I'm traditional but I'm not THAT traditional lol.

One time "that person" joked and said "Can we pretend we dated for 2 years and move in together", I honestly don't mind but then I think my parents won't let me. They are chill when they talk about other people's kids on that topic (well my dad not my mom) but I think they will react pretty crazy if it's their own daughter, don't know. I think they will need to know that guy in and out before letting me go.

One of the broadcaster said her guy friends like to get marry early instead of waiting 2 to 3 years because they rather want both partners to earn money together and make a living. Whereas, if they are still dating, the guy has to take the girl out and buy her stuff to make her happy. If they marry then they are on the same page, save up for a living, no need to always buy her stuff to make her happy and she will understand.

I kind of agree with that but somehow it sound weird in a way? Like because the guy doesn't want to spend more "unnecessary" money to make the girl happy every time so just marry her and they can save up together. But it is a good idea. If you are serious with someone and want to settle down, eventually you 2 just want to save up and not spend as much. You will have to save up A LOT nowadays. I do like that idea, I don't want to wait that long anyways if it's right.

Then he was saying how if those broadcasters miss their chance for certain love years then they would have to wait until I don't know when to get marry. Sound so sad. For one of the broadcaster, he said her next one will come when she is 45 years old. If I find someone when I'm 45, maybe I should just be alone forever. Not like I will be having kids by then. Might as well adopt a kid and be a single parent or just enjoy life as a solo. Have a few flings here and there, joking. =)

How much of these fortune telling stuff can you really trust? My friend's uncle did a fortune thing for me awhile ago. I don't think it's all that true although that friend said it's 99.99999% true. Maybe because I don't know my exact time of birth (it does make a difference). The thing said I'll marry at an early age. Uh...it didn't happen... Sometimes I think it's better not to know, no disappointments. =)

Random moment, I wasn't gonna put a song on because I didn't have time. Decided to put this one on last minute. Heard it from a super of drama but I like it.
Selena - Dreaming Of You
"Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you
And I wish on a star
That somewhere you are thinking of me too

Wonder if you ever see me, and I
Wonder if you know I'm there
If you looked in my eyes
Would you see what's inside?
Would you even care?"
