Beta 5 Review

When I got home and opened the fridge I saw this box with "Beta 5" on it. I knew it was those cream puff. I wanted to try this place a long time ago but never got a chance. My brother got them for the fam, thanks!

They are $5 or $4.50 each if you buy 4 or more. I believe he got these flavours raspberry earl grey and variation of chocolate. My brother said there were other flavours but then they were all sold out.

They are so cute and chubby looking. They look like snowman or little human.

I didn't know what flavours they were before eating them. I checked the site when I was typing this review.

The raspberry earl grey, I guessed it was raspberry because every berry has their own flavour. There were 3 different layers inside, white cream, early grey cream and raspberry mousse. The white cream had a tiny sweetness to it. The whole time I was trying to figure out what the brown cream was but I couldn't tell, it was earl grey. The flavour wasn't strong enough. The raspberry mousse, I believe it's a mousse, the texture felt like one, it was firmer than the cream above. It for sure had a raspberry flavour, kind of tangy which I like, doesn't feel as filling. The outer puff itself was very thin, a bit crunchy but not really. The pink chocolate on top was white chocolate (I don't like white chocolate so I'm pretty sure that was a white chocolate).

The variation of chocolate, also had 3 layers, a chocolate cream, a mousse like chocolate and a custard or something. Not bad, I liked it. The outer tasted like a certain cookie flavour but I'm not sure what it is. The dark chocolate on top had some gold on it, fancy.

Overall not bad, pretty much eating cream. It is considered pricey for its size but it's worth a try.
