Snowy Village Review

I know Snowy Village have been there for awhile but I have never tried it before. My friend wanted to try it again so we accompanied her. The place is small and very crowded, people had to wait for seats. It's one of those order at the counter and pay before you eat type of place. They will bring the bingsu to you, at least they did for us. I'm not sure if it's bingsu or bingsoo. In Korea, I see bingsu but in Canada it's bingsoo???

Anyways, we ordered the large strawberry and mango one ($15) and a custard taiyaki ($3.50). The ice was fluffy and it didn't taste like normal shaved ice from other places. It was sweet, not sure if they made the ice  with milk or condense milk or what but I like it. The one I tried in Korea had a more powdery texture to the ice and it didn't have any taste. The bingsu itself isn't too sweet which was good. At first I thought they only have fruits on top but they also have it in the middle or bottom. Just like what I had in Korea. My friends liked the mango more and thought the whole thing was very light. The custard taiyaki was just normal to me, nothing special about it. The texture and taste reminds me of the waffles I eat at home (Eggo).

To me, I think it's a bit pricey if you are eating it by yourself but if you are sharing then it's ok. It only costs $9 Cdn in Korea and it's bigger than their large size. Everything from everywhere is so expensive nowadays. I would come back but only if I really have to.
