Kamamarui Ramen and Don Review

My friend was looking around to see what is good to eat. She wanted to try this place. It's located somewhere in Burnaby. It's a super tiny ramen place. When we got there it was packed and it was only 5ish pm. We had to wait a bit. We sat at the bar (or we had to wait even longer), normally I don't like sitting at the bar because it's a bit awkward. Feels like someone is looking at you while you eat.

I thought the people were really nice, the girl asked if we need to refill our tea. I think they were Korean instead of Japanese. My friends spotted Korean on their memo on the side.

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen ($10) and my friends ordered the miso ramen ($10). We had a choice of regular or rich broth. We all had the regular (I should have tried rich). The wait for the food was kind of long. They gave us these seaweed like stuff, I thought it was good. My friend said it's like the ones you get at Costco.

My ramen, I thought the taste wasn't that strong so if you like something plain ish not so salty, this would be good. The soup wasn't thick enough to really stick on the ramen. The noodle had a good texture though. The egg wasn't really flavoured as well but it's ok. I like their chashu, the first slice, it was kind of pan fried on one side (caramelized) so it had a nicer flavour to it. The bottom slice didn't have it or maybe it was in the soup for too long? The seaweed on the side is just seaweed. =)

There were 3 different sauces that you can add into the ramen, chili sauce, ramen sauce, and spicy sauce. I tried the last 2 sauces and liked the ramen one more. The spicy was just too spicy. No need to try chili sauce. My friend thought the ramen sauce was like a satay sauce.

Hm...I don't think I would come back again. It was ok but I had better ramen somewhere else and location is far for me. I had ramen where their eggs were really marinated and the soup wraps around the noodle, giving it enough flavour for every bite. My friends thought it was good because she doesn't want to eat something too salty in the hot weather. We were like sweating bullets while eating...

Super random but they were playing the song "Attention", I told my friend I like this song. I hear one of the cooks singing "you just want my attention". When I thought the song ended, it replayed again, I guess they liked it too lol.
