I'm not sure the name of this place but it's inside the Kuroshio Market at Wakayama Marina City. I believe they are the only sashimi rice bowl place so it's not hard to find.
I got the rice bowl for $1850 yen.
I ordered this don with 3 different types of salmon shasimi and salmon roe. Topped with some green onion and egg slices. It was really popular, when I came back to the place it was sold out.
It was not bad. Going counter clockwise, first type taste like the salmon sashimi in Vancouver. Second type had a smoky taste to it. Third, I'm not sure about the taste, I've never tasted it before but similiar to the first one. The fish roe was good, I always like eating them. It just pops in your mouth.
Overall it was pretty good however it was a bit expensive. Sashimi are always expensive though. Yes, I would come back again, but not sure what else I would try next time. I'm not a huge fan of sashimi but how can I not eat it when I'm in Japan, right?
