When you enter you have to pay at a machine first. Pick what you want and then give it to the chef/owner. A lot of places in Japan you just have to order it from a machine. It's convenient especially when it's hard to communicate sometimes. It's good that there were English and numbers on there so you know what you are ordering.
I ordered the medium curry rice ($450 yen), chicken cutlet ($200 yen) and flavoured egg ($150 yen).
It was made to order so it's all fresh. The chicken cutlet was so crispy. I could hear the crispiness when he was cutting the chicken into slices. It was perfect.
The curry was well flavoured, enough spiciness, it's good to eat on a cold day (super windy that day).
The rice was good with the curry. Rice is rice. Don't have to describe taste I think. They were very generous on the rice lol. That was a lot of rice to me.
I thought the portion was quite big for the price, not bad.
This was one of my favourite meal on this Japan trip.
It was quiet at first and then it got busy. It's a small place so if you want to try, go early before the dinner rush hour.
Yes, I would come back again.
