We ordered the Honolulu bang bang combo, Houston honcho combo ($8.49+$4 each) and the house fries ($6.49). Groupon was $17 worth of $30 food. Had to pay $3.05 extra.
The Honolulu bang bang, I guess it was polish sausage, the girl didn’t ask me to pick turkey or polish. The toppings were bacon bites, pineapple and onions. I didn’t like the onions because they were too and raw. Quite like the pineapple in it. The bacon were a bit on the harder side. We thought it was difficult to eat the sausage and the topping together because it was quite big in 1 bite. The buns were normal buns to me although I’ve read some people thought the bread was really good. I mean it is soft but seems normal to me. There was a hoisin sauce which was quite nice in it but I think they can add a bit more sauce to it.
Houston honcho was like a chili cheese dog, really. It was not bad, it had that nice chili flavour (I think my homemade chili tastes better). The sausage was beef sausage which tasted like a normal beef sausage.
I thought their hot dogs would be small but the size is actually ok, it was as big as my hand spread out.
The fries that came with the combo was small but not bad. Their fries were actually quite good. Definitely well seasoned with pepper and salt. It wasn’t really crispy but nice fries texture. You can pretty much eat it without dipping ketchup or any sauce.
The house fries were not bad too. Pretty much regular fries but added special sauce on top. I’m guessing they used some kind of spicy mayo and some other sauce on it. It had a nice kick to it which was really good. The bottom layer had drizzles of dark brown sauce, not sure what it was. The size was ok but could have given us more for the price.
Overall, not bad, I would come back again. I would come back for their fries but not their hot dogs though. Their hot dogs were just soso. Definitely not worth the regular price, get Groupon. They also give out stamp cards and there is a promo, buy one get one free. Might use that for their fries next time. Those fries were good.
