West Coast Poke Review

I wanted to try the one in Richmond but I was going to Vancouver so why not try that location instead. It's not too big in there but it was ok. Service was ok.

You can make your own bowl or get the one of the four that they thought out for you already. I made my own because I wanted to.

I don't quite remember what I got but I'll try my best. I got regular brown rice bowl ($12.50) with chopped scallop, spicy shoyu, pickled red onion, thai chili, pickled ginger, radish, kimchi cucumber, spicy crab salad, spicy seaweed salad, miso ginger soy and citrus ponzu, and furikake.

The taste was not bad, it got a bit spicy after a few forkful (ate with a fork, they should have spoons...). I think it was spicy from the pickled ginger. The chopped scallop was definitely very chopped up... I didn't really get to try each thing separately but it was good all mixed together.

I liked the other poke place better, maybe because that guy packed mine like a mountain and this one didn't? That other poke, I could taste different flavours which was nice, maybe I didn't mix it?

Hm...not sure if I'll come back. Maybe?

I find poke really expensive... I can buy a top that's on sale with that price. Sigh.
