Decided to come before boxing. I've always wanted to try this place, not really their food but the dessert. Well, I wanted to try their pork hock but I didn't see it on the menu.
The place isn't that big and it was super hot in there. There were few tables with people. There was this one big family eating there. Service was not bad but I thought the wait for our dessert took quite long.
We both ordered the halo halo ($7 something). I thought it was interesting, lots of different flavours. It's not very sweet to me but ok filling. It's like a harder version of shaved ice. The ice cream taste very familiar but I can't describe it. It kind of reminds me of those fake taro taste in bubble tea, not really my favourite. There were jello around it which I thought had no taste. It said there is custard flan, I was expecting a whole piece for that price and not a tiny slice. The custard tasted not bad.
I knew there were beans below, that I liked, soft and sweet. There was this kiwi looking thing that I didn't like. It's harder than a kiwi and it has this sour taste to it. Just not my thing. Other then that, it was ok.
No, don't think I'll come back again. I don't know much about Filipino food, someone I know may but yea. I thought that dessert was quite expensive.
