Yaguchiya Ramen Review

My friend picked this place so decided to try. It's not a very big place and it was ok busy when we got there.

Service was ok, very nice.

I choose the spicy ramen ($12.75), and friend got the special ramen ($13.75).

You get to choose 2 different sizes, both of ours were medium. You also get to choose texture for the noodle (soft or hard), the flavour (mild or strong) and little oil or a lot. We both got hard, strong and little oil.

My spicy ramen, it was for sure strong flavoured, a bit on the salty side. I picked strong because I went to another ramen place and their mild was close to no taste. I didn't expect strong to be that salty but better than no taste. It wasn't that spicy, just right. I like the ramen texture, hard and somewhat chewy. The chasu was super thin and not much taste on its own. I soaked it at the bottom till the end.

I tried my friend's and the broth was salty as well, just not spicy. I was surprised the egg wasn't cut in half like other ramen places. The inside was yellow and not orange like other places.

I believe there is a discount for lunch? When I saw the bill at the counter I think it's a tiny bit cheaper than the menu, not sure.

I think I would come back, it's not bad. I kind of want to know what their mild flavour taste like now. Craving something salty while typing this.

Rant XV

To the parents out there! If you are not gonna watch your kids while you shop, don't have any! This little girl pushed this steel baby shopping cart super hard and it almost hit my dad! And my dad was trying to catch the cart so it doesn't fall but it fell. If you hurt my dad, you will pay for it big time! WATCH YOUR DAMN DAUGHTER WOMAN! A sorry is not enough!

I feel bad I couldn't do anything, it was so sudden. I was just in shock. If it was me who is about to get hit, my dad will pop out to save me or kick that damn cart away. One time he thought this car isn't gonna stop for us, he put his hand out right infront of me to stop me from going forward. Parents. <3

Arg! So pissed off! I was going to badminton and this guy at the entrance asked me something. I said "my friend is here". He asked "are you dropping in? If you are you have to pay". I said "my friend booked a court". He asked "under what name?". I said "name". He said "no". I said "it's 7 to 9pm". He said "yea, but no food inside".

You ABCDEFG!!!! He didn't let me in. That a hole! I hate him so much! He was so mean! Wanna stick that damn racquet up his! I hate people that are mean to me! He was giving me a hard time! How I wish I can just kick him in the nuts! Guys that are mean to me are bad guys! Curse him!!! I was so pissed off that I didn't even want to face him when I had to wait outside, what an a**hole! He is officially on my a**hole list. My friend asked if he is good looking. Uh, HELL NO! Even if he was he isn't after that (but really he isn't good looking at all). Jerk!

I don't want to go to that place anymore! I DO NOT want to see that jerk a** anymore! Can we please change to a new one? A place with more young people and not uncles. A place where I won't be questioned like a criminal just to go into a f***ing badminton court! That guy is seriously messed up! I still want to kick him in the nuts a million times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People are so ARG! You know there is something call the internet? You can find all the info you need on there. They just have to ask for addresses for our dealers. You know what? It's time for me to go home! Because of you people I have to stay an extra 5 minutes! They just wasted 5 minutes of my life! ARG! *rip paper in half*

TTOB Review

I was doing research and I saw this bubble tea/waffle place. The pictures on Yelp was really pretty but sometimes pictures and reality are so different...

When we got there, there were only one table of people and I think it's the owner's family friend or someone? One of the lady from that table handed me my waffle... Most of the people got take out. Obviously this bbt place cares about kids, they have this play area in the corner for kids.

Anyways, I got the black sesame cone ($7.95) and the princess kitten milk tea ($6.80). My friend got the okonomiyaki ($8.50) and passionfruit soda ($5.75).

The black sesame cone, it's a waffle in a cone like shape with ice cream and corn flakes at the bottom. I think it was cranberry or some kind of berry sauce, it's ok with the waffle but not really with the ice cream. The sauce was sweet with a tiny tangy taste. A lot of that sauce were on the bottom so it was super sweet, I wanted water. The black sesame ice cream was good. The waffle was a bit hard to me, normally it's crunchy outside and soft inside.

The princess kitten milk tea, the picture and the real thing looks very different. The kitten on the picture was floating, mine...a sinking kitten. My friend said it's like online dating haha! Nice one. Taste, I decided to try the foam by itself, it's salty... I think it's those "cheese" foam that is popular right now. They didn't state on the menu that it's cheese foam, you know I dislike cheese... Well, I wasn't planning to drink it myself anyways, it was for my parents. The milk tea itself is alright, like other bubble tea places.

 

Okonomiyaki, instead of what you normally eat at Japanese restaurants, it's bubble waffle style. The outside was hard but inside had a chewy texture. The topping was good but too much sauce. Friend said the passionfruit soda was good.

Service was ok, very nice.

No, I don't think I'll come again, their stuff is not bad but then I've already tried what I need to try, time to spend my money somewhere else.

One comment, friend said the plastic utensils were super hard to use to cut that okonomiyaki. The utensils were bending.

Blu Bee Bee Bee Blu

My coworker said Staples packed all 12 boxes of bottled water in 12 different boxes. I was surprised. =O Like seriously? Why do you even have to box them? They never do anyways. What a waste of boxes. You know it's all about ECO friendly nowadays?

This customer came in to drop a cheque off and he asked if I'm related to Tiffany and Valarie. I was thinking who are they? Are they famous people? I only know Tiffany & Co. What is Valarie? Yea, I'll be famous soon......

Had a bunch of Christmas gifts come in for the dealers. I carried a million boxes up and down the stairs a million times. I think I'm done my exercise of the day. I don't know why manager and I have to carry boxes up the stairs. None of the guys even offered to help... Really...? I don't think I need a guy at all. I can do things without one. Boss once said "you seem like a tough girl", um, sometimes.

I was watching "My Ages Apart" where the groom ran away during the engagement party. I like that whole speech that she said when she was home with her dad and sisters but it's too hard to translate. I like how she was acting brave and said something like it's ok, wake up and then go shopping, I have my dad and sisters with me. But I know it hurts so bad deep down. People just have to act ok infront of people that care about them.

From another drama, "good guys are like shooting stars, they disappear quickly", yea, all the good guys are taken... Bad guys are like shooting stars too, they disappear from a relationship quickly.

I broke up with my best friend on her wedding day
I don't know why but wedding seems like it always end some kind of friendship. I hear other stories. Oh well, some stuff are good to know now before it's too late right?

Hm... my friend asked me again if I'm willing to try. I'm hoping there is no need for it but I may try it next year. A new year, a new start right? Just meeting new people, don't have to be with them if I don't want to right? Think of it as net working although it's a dating app...lol. Maybe test it as experiments and blog about each haha!

Out of the blue moment, the drama is actually kind of sad. At first it was boring then it got really sad when he finds out those ghosts were his parents and how he wanted to help them. *sniff sniff* At first I thought this is such a slow song but after listening to the lyrics carefully, I really like it. The drama just have to play this song during the sad scenes... Making this song sad and slow lol! But it's good.

Will You Give Up Everything?

I started watching this variety show about HK women giving up everything just for the man they love and start over in a new country. Yes, it made me tear quite a bit. Usually if a show makes me tear, it's a good show.

I want to praise the host because during the time of filming she separated with her husband and I think it wasn't announced yet. It must hurt a lot seeing so much happy couples and knowing how your other half isn't the one to grow old with. =( She teared so much in the show. *pat pat*

The host said "sometimes us women can be pretty crazy for the man we love". So true but men are too stupid to know. "If a man truly loves you, you feel like cleaning the street is worth it". I actually don't know what she means by cleaning street because Cantonese have lots of slangs, not sure if that is one. If not then I guess it means women will suffer with the man that truly loves her?

One woman said "marriage is a gamble", yea you never know what will happen. If you try it, it may not turn out good or maybe it's perfect. But if you don't try, for sure you won't know.

One woman's story was kind of sad. she had a fiance in HK but because of an accident he couldn't handle it and left her. Then she met another guy who made another girl pregnant... Then she met her husband who doesn't mind her past and everything. At first she wanna see if everything will scare him off but it didn't. I guess like my friend said 3rd time is the charm? Well, some people go through tons before the "charm".

I was testing "that person" before too, I just thought it was unreal. Tell/say stuff to him that I think he probably would mind as his ideal gal. I know Libra likes things pretty/perfect. And I'm non of the above. Not sure if those played a part in his decision but whatever.

The host said "How we see tons of people everyday but none of them is the one. Why is the one on the other side of the world? There is no reason. Maybe in their past lives they made a promise to meet each other again. Maybe its a challenge to see if they will remember each other when they see again at a particular place?". Yup, no reason, that's why we always ask why. WHY!?

"Not everyone is that lucky. Not everyone will grow old with the person they meet. But don't give up that love will happen to you". True.

Will I move to a new country for someone I love. Hm...I don't know. The thing is I don't want to leave my family. And it also depends what country I have to go to. I also had this talk with that person but I said I don't want to leave my family. I'm a family person so leaving my family is like the most painful thing ever.

Would you want to start fresh in a new country for a man? You will have to learn a new language like a baby. You may be looked down at by others. Would you be able to handle all those challenges? Just for the name of love?

Dazzling Cafe Review

A lot of people have tried this place so no-one wanted to go with me. Good thing one of my friend haven't been there before. I was surprised there was a waiter because it's such a girly cafe.

Service was alright but when we were ready to order, it took them quite long to notice us.There were hardly any customers inside too.

I ordered the chicken spaghetti with pesto sauce ($13.50) and my friend ordered the smoked duck with pesto pizza ($9.50).

The pasta was ok texture too me, I don't like my pasta too soft but friend thought it was hard. The pesto sauce was a bit oily but it's alright. The chicken was flavoured well but friend said she wants more flavour for the inside. We are so different but it's good. =) I thought the plating looks ok but I wish the portion was a bit bigger for that price.

 

The pizza was good, she said the crust is just right. It's crunchy not hard. The crust was very thin. We both wish they would have more toppings. This was quite small of a pizza for the price.

 

I actually don't know what pesto taste like, friend said the pesto is stronger on the pizza but not the pasta. I'm gonna smell the pesto from work lol.

They have happy hour between I think 2 to 6pm. You get a medium bubble tea with any entree orders. You get to choose from the list at the back.

My jasmine green tea was ok. More milk taste to me, not very sweet. My friend thought the rose lychee was sweet.

Would I come back again? I think I would because I want to try their dessert. They also have a happy hour for dessert and drinks.

Not Sure How I Feel II

I was just thinking it's ok to have a guy as a manager but he has to know how to cook. Someone who would clean like crazy with me and help me do things when I'm busy with other work. Will there be such a guy anyways? I'm sure boss won't hire a guy because I'm sure he knows what guys are like.

I saw a resume by accident, the lady went to culinary school, from that she doesn't seem too much older than me.

So I think the above person was interviewed. I have no bad or good feelings from her, she doesn't seem that much older. I feel like she has a high chance of being the manager because we really need someone soon and boss never showed the previous 2 ladies around the showroom.

Somehow I want an older lady, she didn't give me that ideal manager feeling. Whatever, as long as the future manager will be super nice to me that's all I care. I didn't get that super nice feeling from her though, don't know. It was only like few minutes, can't tell.

Ok, after I typed all that I asked manager if boss is gonna hire her. Manager said she thinks so, boss really like her. I knew it! Cindy is always right, I'm very good at sensing things. Well, as long as she is nice to me, I'm fine with it. Let's hope she is like my current manager. PLEASE!

Hm... I wonder if boss liked me right when he interviewed me? He gotta like me a tiny bit if I was chosen outta all those other people (if any). =)

Browns Socialhouse Review

No clue where to go so decided to pick something close to the event. It's not too big in there but it's ok.

3 of us got the spicy crispy chicken sandwich ($15.95), #28 dragon bowl ($16.95), and blackened chicken Caesar ($15.95).

I thought my chicken sandwich was ok size. The flavour was not bad, I like the little kick to it. The chicken was ok, I'm guessing it's chicken breast. It was crispy on the sides. The fries were good too, crispy. When I saw sandwich, I actually thought it was a sandwich but it looked like a burger to me.

Yea, nothing much to say this time. Service was ok.

I don't know if I would come back again because the food was normal ish to me. It's like that at most restaurant.

It was really dark in the restaurant so the pictures aren't that great.

Blu Bee Bee Blu Blu

LOL! I normally don't use shopping carts when I grocery shop because when I get my shopping bag full, it means time to leave. I went with Daddy one time and he told me to get a cart so I did. I put the money in and I thought I had to stick that steel thing in as well. I kept trying and it wouldn't fit so I decided to pull the other end out. Oh.............. I didn't have to stick that steel thing in... that's for poking the cart out and locking the carts together. Oh Cin... how silly can you be? LOL!

That was strange, this guy I used to like but hate now, tagged me in something. I'm sure it was an accident but thought it was weird. If I find it weird, he is probably like WTF, why did I tag her! LOL! It's not his first time, he invited me to this event and I'm like... he probably sent it to everyone on his friend list.

So at PT, the kiosk outside changed to this skincare and "clean" product kiosk. They are selling this scrub gel thing. I'm thinking those gel were out long ago. I've used one in high school or uni. Maybe that's more well known for Asian, not so much for Caucasian?

I thought the girl that works there looked ok. I love her accent. I really like those British type of accent. Then I realized she is married and has a kid already, she looks young. Her husband looks ok lol. Tall, fit and Caucasian (a tiny bit old looking). I should find a Caucasian too hehe. =)

I was watching "Chef Minor 3" and the little girl could use a card to ask the mother for help. She said "no, mom will scold at me", I was thinking her mom must be very strict. She started to cry. >< Which mother would scold at their children when they need help from her...? Aww, I like how they all have a dream and wants to keep cooking.

This Down syndrome campaign is fan-f*cking-tastic
Aww, it's not like the parents want their child to have down syndrome, neither do the baby. I have worked with a little girl with down syndrome in elementary. All I did was play and accompany her. They are actually cute, they have this child-like look to them. =)

Out of the blue moment, I liked the drama, some funny parts. I don't miss school at all. Do I want to go back to school? Maybe creative classes but for sure not school school. I need to save up for retirement not spend my retire savings.

The One or Not The One

I was listening to my parents talk while I was cleaning up my room. My mom was saying how one of my cousin married this guy who has nothing and they always argue now. How she didn't pick this guy her aunt introduced, he had car, house and everything. My dad said "Well, it's hard to say. If she likes then she likes. So what if that guy has everything, he may not be good."

While I was listening I'm like hm...sounds like me... I didn't fall for the person that had everything, instead I fell for someone that had nothing. That's just life. I think both of my parents are right. I understand both point of view. Which parent doesn't want their little girl to find someone that has everything and can take care of her? Which parent doesn't want their children to be happy, finding someone they like and someone that likes them? Love is a strange thing.

"That person" actually asked me a few times what my parents would think of him. Um...I really don't know. They should be ok with anyone as long as I like and that person likes me and is good to me. They may think he is ok but if now, it's probably a no way (if I told them). Friends said they will never give him a pass after what happened... Another cousin said "he is just a good looking bad a**"... Line from drama, "you can get hurt by a man once but don't give that man a second chance to hurt you". I don't know... plus not like we will ever see again (I think), calm down people, calm down.

I've been asking some of my friends if their boyfriends are "the one". Most replied "no". I asked "then why are you still with him?". They all replied "I just enjoy being with him right now". Why am I even asking? I know the reason myself because I did that too... Before anything I already knew "that person" wasn't the one. I remember I told one of my bestie he would be good for a boyfriend but I don't see him as a husband type at this point. I guess it's good it ended, at least I don't have to worry about our future like my cousin... But when you like someone, you wouldn't mind that kind of stuff. Stupid right?

Sometimes I wonder how people know if someone is "the one" right when they meet them. Let's see if I'll ever bump into someone that would give me that feeling or the other way around, haven't yet.

Hashi Sushi Review

I have always wanted to try this place but then it always closes super early. Decided to get take out with a friend. It's not a very big place and I think people from work order take outs from here.

For take out if you call a day early you get 10% off and if 2 hours before you get 5% off. My friend didn't find that out until we passed the one day limit. Oh well, no tax.

I ordered the sunshine roll ($10.50), I liked the name. My friend ordered the white dragon roll ($10.50) and the mango roll ($4.50).

Sunshine roll, I like it, it had a little kick to it. My friend who can't eat spicy said it's ok so it's not that spicy. The size was ok.

White dragon roll, it's not bad. It had this creamy sauce and the prawn were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

 

Mango roll, it's good but not really my thing. I guess it would be better with real mango. It was avacado sushi topped with mango sauce. Mango sauce had a tangy taste to it that's all.

 

No need soya sauce for any of the sushi, enough flavour.

Yes I would go again. They have a lot of other special rolls as well. Next time I'll try to eat at the place so I can take better pictures.

Rant XIV

This is BS. I decided to go to Costco to get medicine because I get 90% back from insurance. When I got there. I can hardly find a damn parking! Then there was a damn long line up to pick up medicine! Then when it's my turn she said sit and wait for 10 to 15 minutes! I'm like WTF!?! The person yesterday said it's ready at 1pm even though the paper said 10am. I'm just so pissed off how much time I have to waste here. I wonder if I should just go back to other pharmacies where I only get 80%.

Wow, WTF100x! After paying for something damn expensive she tells me I have to wait in another damn long line and they will explain to me how to use that s***. It's just a gel and there are instructions on there right? I know English! Is it always like this, even other pharmacies? I hate this so much! ARG!

I have been emailing this lady since last year. She wants to get into the class but every time when I confirm with her few days before class she cancels on us! Then she would ask for the next available time. Usually it's her assistant that replies to the e-mails. Like WTH. If you can't make it everytime, stop asking me to hold a spot for you. Other people could have come! I just feel like ignoring her damn e-mails and pretend I didn't get it. 

I think I'm gonna tell my manager about it and see what she thinks I should do. If you are that busy then maybe don't come. Does that mean if you have an appointment with someone else and you are busy, you just keep cancelling on them for years? Are you feeling ok? I DON'T THINK SO!

I just find it so annoying how there are so much people that keeps e-mailing back and forth to arrange something and then they cancel or say is there another date. When you book them in they change their mind again and again. Like seriously make up your mind! E-mail me when you are 100% sure. I'm very busy at work!

Manager said just ignore them from now on, don't reply to the e-mails. YAY!

Sometimes I don't understand why people come to these classes when they have a super long list of allergies. Might as well not come. We don't want you to die at our workplace. Someone almost died because she was allergic to nuts and the chef didn't know the pre-made sauce from the store had nuts in it. And she didn't have epi pen with her. Like why would you not bring it with you when you know your allergy can take your life??? I seriously don't understand these people. Manager always say these people always think we are a restaurant or something.

Gyu Kaku Review

My friend wanted to try this place so we finally decided to go. It's a Japanese BBQ restaurant. They have happy hours and all day happy hour on Mondays. Yes, we picked a Monday. Not every item on the menu are happy hour price, I wish it was. The place got ok busy after a bit.

When I got in, I see a bunch of waitress, waiter at the door. No-one said anything and then this waiter suddenly looked at me and yelled out welcome or something in Japanese and everyone else did. I told the waitress that my friend is here already but she was like huh? I'm like... then the waiter that yelled out welcome first said he thinks he know who my friend is and took me somewhere. He took me to the wrong person lol but very nice of him. I almost met a new friend. =D

The place felt like a maze to me, when you walk in you can't really see much because there are these fence like stuff right infront. It's hard to find your friends.

We ordered the spicy tuna volcano ($6.50), beef garlic noodle ($8), bistro hanger steak ($7.50) and pork belly ($4). The portion were quite small in my opinion for that price.

The spicy tuna volcano was a deep fried rice topped with spicy tuna. I thought it was pretty cool but it wasn't that spicy to me. For the price, it costs $2 something per piece.

 

The beef garlic noodle, I think those were udon. I thought it was well flavoured, very garlic. Not much beef though, at least I don't really remember seeing or eating much.

 

The bistro hanger steak, not bad but it had a lot of tendon or whatever you call it so it was really hard to pull it apart. It taste good without any sauce. Same with the pork belly, it's good without the sauce too. The pork belly was easy to chew not like some places I have been too.

 

There were 3 types of sauce, spicy, sweet and sour. I personally liked spicy and sweet. I dislike the sour. I think the waiter said it was yuzu?

 

And guess what? My friend paid for me again... THANKS! So funny, I told the waiter to split the bill and charge my friend's portion only, he didn't listen to me. =( He didn't want my money lol.

No, don't think I will come back, a bit pricey. I do want to try one of their virgin cocktail - Cinderella, oh well.

Wow! Someone called in with the same first and last name as "that person". I didn't realize until after a bit. I'm so slow lol. I almost forgot his last name. The first name isn't too common, at least not to me. The last name, super common. That was weird. Sigh... how likely does that happen?

Line from drama, "dating is like this, if not together then it's to separate", yes...any type of relationships too.

AHH! Just when I thought yay, that kid's dad finally stop coming to the front and I see the little boy and the dad again... I guess it's pro-d day? I get such a weird vibe from them. That boy was in the kitchen the whole time. Good thing I was cleaning and manager was there so he didn't talk to me. Then manager left...(NO!) I was trying to clean this cutting broad for as long as I can. Normally I want to finish as fast as I can so I get my free time. I just wanted to stay in there and clean forever.

He just wouldn't leave and he started talking on the phone with his friend. Then I went back to my desk and he came and talked. He asked me about the go-cart near work. I don't know anything about it... Then he left and then I heard someone coming back, I quickly went to the back to hide. I was trying so hard to avoid him and he just keeps coming back... This mat company guy changes our mats every other week. One time boss came down and that guy was talking to me. After he left boss asked "was he flirting with you?" I'm like hahaha "no". Plus, I think he is married so I'm not interested at all. Even if he isn't, I'm not interested. Boss always ask if these guys are flirting with me. Talking doesn't mean flirting...does it? I actually had an ok talk with him, probably the longest talk ever with him for the past 2 years lol! I don't talk to people easily.

We have these new hire training at work and I expect to see young people, we used to. Now...all old men... One of the Asian sales was asking me for wifi password and a coworker's business card. I got this awkward vibe from him maybe because he didn't smile at all. So weird. If you want to be a sales, you need to learn to smile, at least a fake one... You will scare off a lot of your customers.

Vegan Pudding Review

A vegan friend was supposed to join us but she couldn't make it. I picked this dessert place just for her. Normally I wouldn't eat vegan stuff if I wasn't going out with that friend. It's a tiny store, you can only take out. Their pudding are made with squish or Japanese pumpkin?

I got the black sesame pudding with black sesame sauce ($5). To me I think it's on the expensive side for such a tiny pudding. I know healthy products are more expensive. Oh well, never know till I try.

I can't really describe the smell for this pudding. The pudding itself didn't smell like black sesame. I think I smell a bit of coconut (they use coconut milk). The black sesame sauce had that lovely black sesame smell that I love.

The taste of the pudding, I can't describe again. It's not that sweet. I could taste coconut milk. Not much black sesame taste without the sauce. I like the texture, thick and creamy. I wish it came with more sauce, I like my dessert sweeter.

The sauce itself had a sweet taste at first and then it fades away. It kind of reminds me of sweetener. On their site it said they use honey.

Will I come back? Nope. It was good but not really my thing. I think vegans will love it but not me. I'll just go enjoy my ice cream next time.

One thing, I really like their packaging. The sauce cup was attached to the lid and the lid with sauce cup was the lid for the pudding cup.

Poke Guy Review

My friend wanted to try Poke Guy (no, not the bad word) so we finally decided to go. It's one of those Hawaiian food that is still ok popular. We didn't know they close at 7pm until an hour before. Not sure why they close so early,  I guess it's more of a lunch thing not dinner?

When we got there it's was pretty empty, just one person sitting there. We decided to take out because I know how people feel when they can't go home on time.

I got the lil guy with brown rice, sockeye salmon and marinated tofu. 5 toppings, I think I only got 4, not sure if I got all of them right, salad, seaweed salad, tomatoe and corn (the other 2 were mango and edamame). It was unlimited garnish, I just got the masago and imitation crab (the rest were like green onion and a bunch of greens). Not sure if I got the toppings and garnish mixed up. I got the yuzu mayo, I thought it was interesting. I had bonito flakes and furikake seasoning on top.

I thought it was quite good, lots of different flavours. The brown rice was pretty white looking to me, it was chewy. Not sure if it was the Yuzu mayo that made it taste like it's flavoured rice but it had a tangy taste. The corn were sweet. The tofu were firm ish to me and still not much taste after the marinate but it's ok. The sockeye salmon, I just thought it was ok but I'm not really a sashimi type of person. The salad was really good, well flavoured, it taste a bit thai style to me. I always like eating seaweed, so good. I think the seasoning made it spicy?

Service, I thought it was really good, at least the guy that was helping me was really nice. When we got to the toppings I asked "do I get 5 toppings?" and he said "yes, these are the toppings". I asked "how many did I get already?". He tried to count and he said "it's ok you can pick all" with a smile. I'm like... then I just picked one more, I actually got 4 out of the 6 choices. There weren't much to choose from. Then onto garnish, I didn't know the name of masago then he said it and I'm like "yes". He asked "you like it?", I said "yes" and he scooped me quite a bit. Then the sauce and seasoning part I didn't know which one and he had to point to the list and explain. He pretty much topped my bowl like a mountain lol. I must be acting too stupid... Nice and patient guy lol. Thanks! It's hard to tell that he topped it like a mountain because it was take out so the lid flattened it.

Then when I was about to pay, the other guy said it's paid already and the guy and I are both like huh? Yup, my friend paid for me...Thanks!

Yes, I would come back again if that guy is there, joking. I honestly thought it was good so if I pass by someday I'll get it. I'm not sure how much it was but the lil guy is $8 something and you have to choose minimum of 2 pokes. Each one range from $0.50 (tofu) to almost $3 (all the seafood). So, I'm guessing around $11 plus? I actually thought the $8 something already include the pokes but no. That's strange.

One comment, I think they should have more toppings and garnish for us to pick. I have been to another poke place and they seem to have more choices.

Bee Blu Blu Blu Blu

I like how in other people's eyes I'm always a "goodie goodie". Manager and the chef were talking about this girl who worked for my position before. How she would get drunk at work and she got fired. How did we get to this topic...ha...ha... No, I was not drinking but I was setting up for a training and manager said put napkins at each spot. I thought she meant the paper napkins so I was putting the white ones out and then she said "no, the black ones". I'm like oh... 

Then I started putting black paper napkins out. Then she said "Cindy, the black napkins (point to the cloth ones). Me - dot dot dot. Then she put her hands on my face and said "Cindy are you drunk? Have you lost it?". LOL! I thought she was talking about the paper ones all along AHHH! Then they asked if I've heard about the drunk girl here before. The chef said "While you are an angel, you should ask for a raise". Aww, I'm an angel? =) I think that person called me that before too?

I was watching this sitcom and the girl broke up with her boyfriend. She was so sad, she didn't want to eat, didn't want to go out, didn't care about her appearance, etc. I was the total opposite lol! I ate like crazy, went out like crazy and dressed up normal but even better than before. =) I guess everyone has their own ways to deal with things. 

AHH! I was so happy when I was watching the part where her big sister helped her revenge on that guy for what he did to her. I was so happy! =D How I wish that would happen to "that person" too! I will wait patiently for that day muhahahaha! How I wish people knew him...

Sorry, I just love to use the term "life is short" because all the health experience I went through. I know how fragile human are. That's why I treasure what I have now. I try to be as happy as I can, I know some posts are sad ish/mad but that's how I get it out of my system.

Oh wow, that is a big difference... Don't worry, all my photos are as true as it can be. I don't use photo shop or any other tools. I only make my pictures a bit brighter on IG (hardly though) but they are still real. I don't use anything for my blog photos.

Good, I usually eat my chicken skin but mommy always say "split it out, it's fat". If it's way too fat then I won't eat it but if it's fine I'll eat it. I love fat stuff, it's so good lol. I only live once, might as well be happy and not have that much restrictions right?

Different Timeline

As we get older we see more and more of those engagement, wedding, pregnant pictures on our social media. Most of those pictures are people we dislike. We get sad/mad and think how unfair life is. How someone that horrible can find someone, get married and have a family. Why?

Well, not everyone has the same timeline. No-one has to have the same timeline as everyone else. Some people may be "lucky" and get whatever they want. Some people may wait for their whole lifetime or give up completely. Who said we have to get married in our 20's? Who said we have to get married at all? Who said we need someone?

I once heard from somewhere that we should enjoy being single because once we have found someone, we won't have much alone time. We will face this person our whole life anyways (maybe). So true! Might as well enjoy what those "lucky" people don't have. When we have someone, we put almost all our time on them. We don't even have time to watch our drama, play our games or do our own stuff (yup, did that, been there).

Who said we have to have kids before a certain age? Who said we have to be financially stable by a certain age? Who said we have to retire at 65? Everyone is different. There isn't a set timeline that everyone has to follow. We make our own timeline. Do whatever we want at whatever age.

As long as we are happy, that's all it matters, right?

Oriental Rice Noodle Review

My friend said this place is ok so we decided to go. It's ok size and it got pretty busy after awhile. Their chairs are a bit awkward to me. It's like a bench with no back part so if you lean back, you are actually leaning on the person at another table, awkward...

Service was ok. But my 2 friends that came before said that if you take pictures of the food for too long the waitress will get mad at you and kind of tell you to hurry up and they aren't very happy with you. I was actually a bit afraid of that because you know I have to take pictures and sometimes I can take a bit long, depending how happy I am with my pictures. That didn't happen, well I kind of just dumped everything in quickly after taking a few pictures.

I ordered the curry one ($10.99), my friends ordered 2 tomatoe ($10.99) and 1 original ($9.99).

I've been to a similar type of restaurant before. They put a bunch of "sides" on tiny dishes and when the soup and noodle come, you dump everything in.

My curry one was ok. It had a stronger coconut flavour, I prefer stronger curry flavour, I wanted it to be spicier. The noodle was not bad, I like the thickness and texture.

Yea, there is nothing much to say about it because most of the sides are basic stuff and I'm sure everyone knows what they taste like.

One of my friend said it's a rip off because if you want more meat, it's pretty much $1 per slice. To me, it's a rip off because those sides are super basic stuff, don't think it's worth the price and not like they give you a lot. One thing, the noodle is unlimited so you can ask for more when you are done. I did think about asking for more noodle then take the whole thing out but seem a bit ugly (sorry "c lai" do that kind of stuff lol!).

No, I wouldn't come back again, nothing special to me except those pretty little dishes in a tray.

A Month Without Chocolates

So the dermatologist said I should try to stay away from chocolates and sugar. When he said that I thought how does he know I’m crazy with chocolates and sugar. Uh…that’s because it’s all showing on my face, well my chin area. Yes, those damn break outs that I always get. I don’t think I’ve ever had a day where my face is completely clear since grade 6, sad. Some people are so lucky, they don’t get any. Life is so unfair!

After he said that, I decided to stay away from chocolate for a month. It wasn’t hard for me. However, I did cheat because my manager gave me expensive chocolates and it said “taste best before October 26” or something. I plan to end my “no chocolate days” in November... I only ate 2 pieces and an ice cream drumstick with chocolate. Oh, I cheated for another day because work had leftover dessert from a training (yes, chocolate ones) so I ate 2 hehehe.

After all those sweets, I started seeing break outs again. I don’t know if it had to do with the sugar or is it because “time of the month” is approaching.

I don’t think it has much to do with the chocolate and sugar because I remember I always eat 4 pieces of chocolate everyday at work to keep myself awake and my chin was completely fine. I guess my hormone is just going nuts that’s why the break out is going crazy on my chin. Damn hormone!

I did realize my tummy was somewhat flatter during that month of no chocolates and I also stopped eating chips. I guess it's not bad.

My decision after this “no chocolate days”, I have decided to continue eating my chocolates and sweets but not go too crazy. I was never too crazy with sweets but I love sweets. How can I ever stay away from sweets? Are you nuts? I’ll die without my sugar, lol. Chocolates make me happy. Ice cream puts a smile on my face when I’m unhappy. Staying away from chocolates didn’t really help so I will keep eating.

Life is short, might as well enjoy sweets that makes me happy. =) What's better than being happy in life? Righty right?
