Looked this place up online and decided to try. It's not very big and there weren't many people when we were there which was good.
I got the rice cake and friends got the black sesame. ($8)
I really like the rice cake one. I like how their ice is flavoured and it's so powdery and tiny. Normally the bingsoo is just ice with some sauce layer after layer. Or maybe just not as fluffy.
It also came with one of their tiny fish taiyako. It was ok I guess, the filling was chocolate. I think it would taste better with more filling.
Yes, I would come again.

Yama Cafe Review
It's a small place and the service was good. The guy at the counter was good looking. My eye candy of the day hehe.
We all got the pork belly rice bowl.($11.95)
It was really pretty. There was a few different flavor to it which I really like. I liked the salad taste. I liked that pickled veggie a lot and that little mustard like sauce on the side. It gave a nice little kick, I added it to the rice to add some flavour. The pork belly wasn't omg to me. It wasn't as fat as I wanted it to be. I love fat meat. I thought the rice was a bit clumped together.
Yes, I would go back again and see my eye candy lol, joking. I did want to try their avocado brownie but it was like $1.50 each...

Shark Club Review
Have to look for different places to eat before kick boxing. I found this place so decided to try. I guess it's ok big in there. It's quite dark in there. There were some people there, I guess for their happy hour.
The service was ok I guess, the girl is a bit I don't know.
Yes, we came here for the happy hour. One thing that sucks is that you have to order a drink with the wings. So we ordered a set of habanero salt wings (not sure how much) with a coke ($3 something) and Cajun chicken burger ($16).
The chicken were ok. It had a little kick to it but the inside lack some flavour. I wonder if the other flavours are better. The burger was alright, pretty normal to me. I really like the fries though.
Honestly, that happy hour is quite expensive. The wings were ok for the price but that drink...
No, don't think I would come back again. I would if I run out of places but I highly doubt it.

Cafe Loyal Review
Came here once but I didn't eat last time. It's ok big in there. Quite a few people and I think most came before they change to dinner menu which was a bit more expensive compared to their tea menu.
The service was not bad. The lady was quite nice although she messed up my drink order. I wanted a cold drink but she gave me a hot one.
I ordered the stir fried xo beef noodle ($9). The size was huge. I packed half home. I thought it tasted funny. It had a sour taste to me. I thought I had problem but my brother who ate the other half said yea, it was sour. Not the best. Oh....
I will still go back because it's ok price and my class is near by. So I can get a quick bite before class.

Wildleaf Vietnamese Cuisine Review
Wasn't sure what to eat before kickboxing but I remember a friend telling me about this pho place. It's located inside the Aberdeen food court.
I got the pork sausage and fish cake with rice noodle ($7.50).
My friend told me it's not big, it looks ok big to me. It's not bad for that price. I didn't want to eat half way through it. Maybe I just didn't feel like eating at that moment.
They had thin rice noodle which I like. I really like the fish cake. I'm not sure what kind of herb was in it, I'm guessing Thai basil. I just really like that flavour. The pork sausage was not bad, I like it from this pho place in HK. There were also a bunch of bean spouts at the bottom.
Yes, I would go back again. Totally not a bad price for that size.

Perverted Ice Cream Review
A friend told me about this place and my other friend wanted to try so I went.
It's quite black, everything were black. I didn't really like that cashier girl, she seems dead and not very nice. She didn't ask if I wanted a receipt... When they called out name for the ice cream, they said Andy instead of my name. How is my name even close to Andy... Like really?
We ordered the misfit and the brand spanking ($6.30 each, I believe).
I didn't think it was OMG, it looked cool but it tasted normal. My misfit was matcha but I don't taste any strong matcha flavour. The soft serve was normal to me. The only cool thing was the salt and vinegar chips on it. They should put more.
I really dislike their cone. I think they need to really work on their cone. There were tiny holes on mine and ice cream were coming out from it and the ice cream were melting from the bottom and my hands were all sticky and messy. There was a big gap on that waffle cone so ice cream started melting out from there as well.
It wasn't crispy at all, it was quite hard to chew, maybe it's not fresh? I don't know. Maybe they made it that way?
As a crazy ice cream person, I don't think that was a good ice cream experience for me. =( Quite disappointed.
No, I wouldn't go but I'll still go with friends, just won't order.

Ramen Koika Review
We passed by this place before and I thought it seems like a nice place so decided to go and try.
I thought the place looked tiny from the outside but it's ok big. Well, not that big but ok. Staff were nice.
I really like their menu, it's on a wood.
We ordered 2 triple black garlic ramen ($12.50 each). You get to choose hard or soft noodle, fatty or lean cha sui.
When the ramen came, the noodle reminds me of the ones in Japan. They were really thin. The size was ok, not that big. The soup was ok, not too salty, had a garlic taste but with a bit of a burnt ish taste. The garlic pieces gave me a burnt ish taste so I didn't like it. The ramen was good texture and I like how it's so thin. The cha sui was very flavoured, a bit salty. The egg was nice.
Overall not bad. I would come back but I need to bring someone that knows how to eat crabs because I don't know how and I wanted to try their king seafood ramen.

Bee Blu XXXIV
I was watching this variety show called "Faraway Bride", I'm on their season 2 now. I thought it was really good but I personally love listening to other people's love stories. Like how they met and what kind of ups and downs they went through to be together or something. Some stories are like a fairytale or so unexpected. There are still true love out there although things are so much more different nowadays. Most of the time you just hear that they met through a friend or online. I like to hear those "meet out of the blue" type of stories, so unexpected.
I liked the first 2 episodes of season 2 because it was about this girl who got sick and that was the reason why this guy wanted to stay with her and walk down the rough road together. Do such a guy exists anymore? I would love to have one. You know how when you tell someone about your sickness and some guys are just jerks and they run off and you never ever see them again. I'm also afraid that would happen to me in the future when I tell that person about my story. But hey, that just tells you what kind of person that guy is so I'm not afraid to tell that future person. I am who I am, like me or hate me.
Both season 1 and 2 made me ball like a baby, well not really but I had tears here and there. There was another story where the lady said before her dad passed away, he told her, "don't marry him". She was taking care of that guy and pay for his everything while he stayed home. She said she hopes her dad can see that it's the opposite now and she is happy.
I still believe there is true love. I still believe there are fairytale love stories. I still believe that everyone will find their special someone someday. I still believe tian wouldn't be that cruel to good people. Will all of that happen if I keep believing? A friend said she believe I will find someone who will be really good to me, just because of who I am. We will see, so far most of the dudes are not bad to me, could do better and treat me like a princess all day everyday. =)
Watched "Westley, the great adventurer", the first 2 stories were good but the last one was somewhat boring to me. This line caught my attention "There is something that you have but can't exchange, can't give up and won't have more of. You will do anything to protect it but won't know when you will lose it", can you guess what it is? Answer at the bottom, look if you really don't know. To me, I think you can give up, at least some people choose to.
Watched "Another Era" and thought not bad. I like the couples in there. I like how one couple loves each other but can't be together due to specific reasons and totally understandable. One couple were on and off a couple of times, when they decided to stay together forever...something unfortunate happened. Life...
This line was good, "Why did companies put an eraser on top of a pencil? It's because everyone will make mistakes. If they are willing to make changes, everyone deserves a second chance. I don't know how deeply a man needs to love a woman to change. I just know it's been 10 years and you haven't forgotten about him. Don't do anything that you will regret." Not everyone change for someone but if someone does change, give them a second chance, also their last chance.
I'm 33 and I've Never Been Kissed
Totally understand you and you are not alone. I learned that long ago. Everyone has their own stories and they are never alone. There will always be someone else out there going through the same situation as you but you just don't know of. It's ok if prince charming never shows up, as long as you love yourself that's all it matters.
Four Dead After Sinkhole Swallows Them on City Sidewalk
These sinkholes are scary, so unexpected, just like natural hazards. =( Why?
Out of the blu, long time no blu. Heard this at work after an event and I was just thinking how one of my bestie always say certain guys are not my type. I actually don't know what my type is. However when I see the people, I know what she means by "not my type". But then I don't think I always fall for "my type", it really depends on the feeling and how he treats me. I only liked one person that was my type (Mr. 6"2...sigh). I went for someone who wasn't my type, I just liked that feeling and who he was. Although it was disappointing what he did at the end, I didn't regret, I learned a lot. I learned to love myself more than others.

Not Sure How I Feel VI
I really don't know about this lady but I feel like we have to live with it. She is nice and all that but I don't know. I feel like it's hard to listen to her in the future when I feel like she doesn't care about the job or something.
Like who gets off early, comes in late when they are still new. The previous lady did that too but she wasn't nice, the end. Like she has never stayed for a full week, start to end.. I overheard the guys talking before how they just don't buy it and if they were new they would be like first ones at work or something. She usually leaves early when boss isn't in the office and I understand, so he won't find out and not like any of us would really say anything.
I wonder if boss even knows. I asked manager and she said no. I'm surprised because I thought boss would want manager to report to him on how she is and if she is really a good fit. I'm really surprised! I remember manager said last time when previous lady was here that boss knows everything even though he isn't in the office. I hope he does. I pray that he does!
It's good that I'm not the only one that thinks this way though. I hope boss knows about it but then it's not really a reason to fire someone is it? I think boss cares more on how well they perform at work and not too much on on time or not, leave early or not? I don't know...
But I also heard the guys saying that if she always does this, what if a customer comes in early in the morning and she isn't here or what if she leaves early then someone has to do her job. Yea, I don't know and we all don't know about this lady.
Like I was on my lunch and she asked me to print something for her, ok fine. And then she said "can you please kindly go upstairs and get it for me, I don't want to leave the customer alone", like seriously??? I'm on my freaking lunch! When you are on your lunch and there are calls I don't ask you to listen to it. Why are you ordering me when I'm on my lunch? You have legs! Why don't you go up yourself? The customer isn't 5, he will be fine, alone!
Then she asked for some documents and normally I keep them separate, you just ask for one of them, you didn't say you want the other one too. She used this tone of voice at me that she wants the same one that I gave to the chef, wow! Yes, I'm a small potatoe but don't demand me like a slave!
Then I was super busy helping big boss do something and she just keeps coming to bother me! I was kinda pissed off! She probably thought I was giving her attitude. I'm not trying to but I'm freaking busy! Leave me alone! She sent me some stuff and I have to send the files back to her but I'm too busy so I ignored. At the end of the day, she buzzed me when I was turning the lights off so I ignored. She came down and asked me to send them to her. Like wow! You know I have other sh*t to do? I feel like she thinks I don't do anything or I have nothing to do.
I'm always at my computer but it doesn't mean I'm not doing work. I only look around online when I'm done all my work. I'm probably one of the hardest working person in this company yo! She always come to my desk and ask if I'm shopping. Just because you seen me look at flyers on my free time doesn't mean I have nothing to do all day everyday!
She always say to manager that she is tired and has to leave early. Um, maybe you should try working at a different company and see if they allow that. "I'm tired", is not an excuse! Everyone is tired yo! I look at numbers for the whole say sometimes and I was copy and pasting all day, I'm tired too! I don't go tell my manager "oh I'm tired I'm gonna leave now". I think we are all too nice and didn't say anything to the boss about her stuff.
One coworker told his wife about this lady and his wife asked "why didn't you say something". He said well, I may be the only one that feels that way. You ain't alone, we all feel this way. I just don't understand all these new people nowadays, they think that they have the right to leave early whenever they want and they are for sure gonna stay in this company and we have no reason to fire them. I'm not too sure what they are thinking. I was never taught that way.
Anyways, she should keep being herself. I'm sure someday she will be caught by the boss.
From what I know, I feel like other coworkers think the same way I do about her. I just hope boss knows!

Meet in Gastown Review
We wanted to try something else but there was a line so we decided to go next door to Meet. It's my second time trying this restaurant, not this location.
Service was interesting... We went in from the back, they told us to go to the front. No one was there to serve us. Someone told us to wait outside and when we got out someone asked us in. They asked for a name and told us to wait outside...ok???
We ordered the marinated portobello burger ($13.50) and the mighty mac burger ($14.50).
I normally don't eat salad because of the green taste. This one was ok. For some reason it had a toothpaste taste to it, I guess they have mint. Also some tangy taste.
The fries were crispy. The burger, I forgot portobello was mushroom. I'm not a mushroom person. It was ok though, that was one juicy mushroom lol. My friend thought I wouldn't be able to finish everything because I normally can't. I actually ate it all this time. I think because my last meal was around 11am ish and that dinner was 9pm ish. Proud of myself.
Yes, I would come again, there are still things I want to try on their menu. I believe they have one in Yaletown too.

Snack Shot Review
I've always wanted to try this place but haven't. I think most of the people come here for their 9 square tray or tofu pudding.
The décor was really nice and you know how much I like vintage old style stuff. It's not as vintage but it's ok. They played these old Canto pop which I remember listening to when I was a kid. Service was ok.
We got the ube trio ($8.95) and black glutinous dessert ($5.95).
The ube (purple yam) trio had sago, ube ball, ube ice cream and ube paste. I really like the ube paste, I love purple yam, love the taste. The ice cream was ok, it had little bits of ube I think. Some part were icy, I think they made it themselves? It had a milk ish taste to it. The ube balls were in different colours, didn't have much ube taste to it. It's not as sweet as I thought it would be.
The black glutinous wasn't that sweet either but my friend thought it was. I guess I can eat really sweet stuff.
No, don't think I'll come back again. Nothing else I really want to try. I can probably make most of the stuff by myself. Like this 9 square thing, easy pesy.

Talay Thai Review
I was craving curry so decided to try this place.
It's a tiny place but pretty empty when we got there. Service was not bad. We were far from the counter and I thought they won't see us but that lady would always come to us.
We ordered the chicken kaeng daeng (red curry) and the chicken kaeng khiew waan (green curry), $12.50 each.
The taste was not bad, we both thought it was on the sweet side. I could taste a bit of coconut milk. It wasn't spicy to me, I would like more. I thought the consistency was a bit watery. I thought it should be a bit thicker. The chicken was very tender. The portion wasn't big but I couldn't finish because I felt full. It was only liquid, I guess because of the coconut milk that filled us up?
I don't think I will come back again, I've had better curry elsewhere. I'm still in love with that curry place in Richmond, oh so good.

Bee Blu XXXIII
This guy from Ledcor, Telus came in, he intro himself, "Thomas" but I didn't say my name. Just letting us know they are gonna do some work at our company and stuff. I was on the phone when he was about to leave and he stood there. When I hung up he was leaving and he said "bye Cindy", I'm thinking I never said my name. I guess he heard from my phone script when I picked up the phone haha. Not a bad guy but he looks younger than me. Maybe we'll see again? He made me smile. =)
I like how boss was like we should take the day off, such a nice day out. I said "yes". He said "just put the phone off". Yea, I would totally love to lol. Too bad.
Some dude messaged and said "You're gorgeous. I like that you look great even when you're not dolled up!". Thanks, I know I am. It's call true beauty, not just within but the outer as well. =P
Watching "Another Era", it's sad when 2 people who really like each other can't be together. Doesn't only happen in drama. Will there be a guy that's like these dudes in the drama? Although they aren't with the one they like they are always "behind" them, supporting them during their downs. One of the guy would actually fly all the way to Vancouver from Hong Kong to check on the girl when something happens without her knowing. Another dude will always appear infront of her when she is unhappy, making her happy again. Does such guys exist? I would love to find one too. The thing is neither party have moved on and find someone else. Where do you find that kind of person nowadays? Super rare. Sigh...
The emotional reason a mum spent $13K on the most epic kid's party we've ever seen
Understandable but I wouldn't spend that much money. If I was capable to spit out that much then sure why not, but I can't.
Repeatedly reflecting on a breakup speeds recovery process, according to science
Okay, so don't find me annoying if I keep repeating my stories with someone, I'm just trying to heal lol!

Sometimes you won't know that person isn't right for you until after a while. Deep down you kinda know but you still want to keep trying. Things end when one side decided to give up without even trying and giving it a chance. She mentioned how the guy was like a time stealer, yup, drag on and wasting one person's valuable time. But at the end I had a smile on because she found someone right for her (pretty quick too...). Why can't everyone just find someone right on their first try? Why?
The bright yellow 'monstrosity' a bride is forcing her bridesmaids to wear to her wedding.
Hm...this reminds me of a friend who said "What? She is gonna pick someone prettier than her?" Honestly, that just shows she cares about friendship and not how much her friend is gonna steal the show. Anyways, that's not really related to this but people were saying how the bride picked it so they don't steal the show. That dress is something lol. I like how one said it's like a shower loafer LOL! And I agree, wouldn't you want your wedding to pretty and memorable? Unless if she really like yellow....

Asaka Ramen and T-mix Review
I saw this online and decided to go with the gals before we get shot at paintball. This area is somewhat developing but not a lot of parking.
The service is ok ish but let me share some stories. When we got there no one greeted us or ask how many people, we waited and decided to find a spot ourselves. When my friend was ordering her bubble tea, the waitress had to come back and tell my friend that drink can't be combined as the combo....
Maybe the waitress is new but when she was cleaning up our table, she dropped the chopsticks on the floor and somehow spilled soup on my friend. Friend asked for napkin and the waitress just gave her the ones my friend and I used to wipe our mouth... Friend was like "not used ones!". At that time, the manager was there too to give us the bill. I saw the way he looked at the waitress, not very impressed with what she did. Then the manager went to grab a stack of napkins over. He also gave my friend 50% off and said he can take care of the cleaning fee too, just give him a call. Then we didn't see that waitress on the floor again..."uh oh, she's in trouble"🎶.
Anyways, I ordered the shoyu spinach ramen ($12), friends got miso ramen ($13) and the bubble tea and bubble waffle combo ($7.50).
My spinach ramen, like the name, yes, it's green. Not much spinach taste but I think it's ok. It was ok chewy to me. I think it had enough flavour from the soup. The chasui was easy to chew and flavoured. There was a bit of actual spinach, some corn, 2 pieces of seaweed and a bunch of green onion. It also comes with 2 pieces of those yellow Korean radishes on a tiny dish.
My friend said her miso soup was thick and salty. I tried the soup, I think it had a strong miso taste, maybe that's why it's salty?
Other friend thought the drink was still quite sweet when its 50% sugar. They added more ice in to water it down. I tried the bubble waffle, it was just ok, nothing special.
Will I come back again, I think I will but I want to try their drink. My friends said no, they won't.

Love at First Sight
How can I not talk about my little precious. The very first time I felt "love at first sight" was when I met Honey. I remember looking at her pictures for the first time and she was still a tiny baby, so cute and fragile. Then a video of her exploring around the breeder's house, such an adventurous kid.
When I actually met her in person I know she is the one, it's her, and I'm taking her home. The breeder actually told us that Honey was so close to not making it to this world. She was the last one and she was stuck in her mommy's womb. Thankfully she made it out. Interesting how she was the biggest one out of all her 3 siblings. I wanted to name her Miracle but my parents thought it was hard to pronounce lol.
I've heard people say when you get a dog you should choose the one that comes to you and not the other way around. I guess that is true but I didn't know about that back then. Honey did not come to us first. I think she was shy and always tried to walk away from us (maybe she just didn't like us?). I guess her cute and innocent face caught our attention? Anyways, we took her home.
She is quite a fast learner. Potty trained pretty fast, sometimes accidents here and there but that's fine. She also learn her tricks really quick. I just have to teach her maybe 3 times of the same thing and she can do it on her own. That's my girl!
She does have some "character" and sometimes stubborn. Not sure if we spoiled her too much when she was young and we are not strict enough. Sometimes she doesn't listen. We tell her to sit, she starts stretching infront of us or keep backing up. I'm pretty sure she knows all the commands but she just doesn't want to do it. She is like me, don't like being told what to do hehe.
I think she is also scared of people and pretty much everything. She always barks at people, dogs and things. I'm not sure why? When she was a baby she did have interaction with a lot of people and she was fine. However, when she learned that she can bark, she barks at everything... We always stop her but she never listens. I guess she doesn't think of us as her owner or pack leader...? People suggested to use those shocking collars but I'm against that. I think it hurts, I don't want to see her go through any pain. I rather let her be a little brat forever. I won't give up! I will stop her somehow and hopefully one day I can actually invite people over to my place. People don't come over because of her barking and I don't really want people coming over anyways lol. We do invite people over and she has to wear a vibrate collar instead of shocking ones.
Sometimes I don't think I'm a good owner or I think I can do better. She used to throw up a lot when she was young. Is she throwing up because I didn't take good care of her? I didn't watch what she was putting into her mouth? Or is she just a little bit weak because she almost did not make it to this world? I felt so bad when she hurt her tiny toe tendon when I was in HK. I felt like I didn't take care of her and can't be there for her. I wanted to give her a big fat kiss and hug her like a little baby. She just had to get hurt when I was hurt by someone. =(
Honey may be a pet or dog in other people's eyes but I never thought of her as one. I think of her as my family member, my little sister and my best friend forever. Honey may not be that perfect dog that we want her to be but every dog is different, just like human. I do envy other people's dogs, always hear good stories about them. That is one reason why I don't talk about Honey that much. All people do is ask, why don't you get her trained? I did! I don't want to explain that every time. Just blame it on me for not being a good owner. I love Honey no matter how she is. She will always be the love of my life.
Without Honey, our lives wouldn't be as happy. Yes, sometimes she makes us frustrated but when we are unhappy she makes us laugh by doing silly things. No matter how unhappy I am from work or something else, when I come home, she puts a smile on my face. She will sit on her little mat and wait for me to give her kisses on both cheeks (I taught her to do that). =)
I love you Honey, you will always be my little baby. I will try my best to train you better and I will take care of you forever and ever! <3
I think I started typing this in March 2017? I wanted to post this on her birthday in 2017 but I didn't finish. I will keep typing about her.
Out of the blu, yes, I will accompany my Honey bunny forever.

Mousse Pug Review
I've only seen this mousse pug cake thing on IG and other social media but I can't believe I get a real one. Thank you!!! It was super cute, good thing it didn't look like little princess or I might freeze it forever.
My whole family actually thought my friend bought it for little princess because her birthday is coming up LOL! Well, she did lick it so technically it was her birthday cake. But dogs are not allowed to eat chocolate, bad little princess!
At first I thought wow, it's amazing how people can make these by hand, so detail. Then I was looking online about it... oh, they just use a mould... I can do that too!
Anyways, I thought the mousse had a very light chocolate taste to it. The mousse was ok, nice and soft.
Would I recommend this, nope. Save your money. Thanks again!

Night Market 2018 Reviews
I saw most of these online so I decided to give them a try.
First was at Okonomi Bites. We ordered the seafood okonomi poutine and fried pork poutine. (1 or $10, 2 for $18).
I thought the okonomi was very battered, I don't see or taste any seafood. At least put some shrimp bites in or something. The cheese curds were not melted and feels "rubbery" and had that strong cheese taste I don't like. If it was melted I think I would have liked it more. I liked the sauce, it was tangy, salty and spicy. The fries, I thought it could have been crispier.
The pork was flavoured and that poutine had the same sauce.
Overall, it was worth a try but I won't try again. It wasn't really poutine to me. It would be better with more sauce and melted cheese.
Next, I got the lightbulb from Rainbulb. I got the purple, strawberry raspberry ($6). I've always wanted one of these lightbulb bottles, yay. Now I can make things and put it in.
Anyways, I thought the packaging was nice and I can turn off the light if I want to. The taste, it's like pop, I believe they put in club soda and some flavouring. I couldn't really taste strawberry and raspberry but it was fruity in a way. After awhile it had no taste left.
Overall, I think the bottle is worth the price but the drink wasn't. I won't go back.
Next, Dumpling King, that guy that works there was loud lol. We got the rainbow mixed dumpling ($8). It comes with 2 black truffle pork, red kimchi beef and green veggie vegan.
They will ask you what sauce and toppings you want. I picked spicy mayo. I wonder if you can gave 2 sauces because I also wanted sweet chili. I picked bonito as topping and he said the fried garlic is good too so I said sure. I actually wanted seaweed too lol. He also asked if I wanted vinegar. Just give me everything next time hehe, jk.
I thought it was pretty and all coloured. However, the toppings covered it and couldn't really see the colour of the dumplings.
Taste, I started with the veggie one, it tasted like normal veggie dumplings to me. The kimchi one had a light spicy taste but not overly spicy. The black truffle didn't taste like truffle to me. It didn't have that weird taste to it. This truffle reminds me of a Chinese dish, steam mushroom pork.
Overall, it was ok. The most memorable was the black truffle. I'll come back if they have other interesting flavours.
Last but not least, Milk Cha, I had their sharing cup last year and this year they came up with a baby bottle. Someone like me will for sure get it. I got the ginger milk ($8). I thought it was just $7 but the guy asked if I was it hot, I guess they charge $1 to make it hot... He didn't notify me or I would have said no, cold is fine.
Cute packaging but I think I'll only use it at home. The drink, I thought it was not bad, very ginger but I think they used ginger powder and not real ginger. But I understand, real ginger's flavour will change after time but powder won't change as much.
Yes, I will go back if they have some new ideas next year.
There was one more drink place I wanted to try but maybe next year, if it will open again.

Japan Trip Heads Up
Heads up and things I found interesting in Japan.
When you go to restaurants with ordering machines, remember to put money in first before you choose the stuff you want.
Before you go to Japan, check all your transit information ahead of time, it's confusing! We got messed up. We bought this ticket and thought it was for every railway company but it was everything except JR... You may end up spending tons of money on transit.
Make sure you plan a big time slot for transit, it takes forever. Trains are ok fast but then the well known places are usually far away from each other, it may take 30 to an hour or more to get to a destination. Some trains can have many stops. Because of transit time, I missed out a few places that I wanted to go.
When you are at a train station, you have to look carefully at signs. Sometimes it may say #7 for a certain place but then it says "now it's changed to #5". You have to run back downstairs and run upstairs
They will only speak Japanese so just use sign language or simple English words. Some do speak English though but rarely.
If you are a lady and you are going into a fitting room, they will likely to give you a sheet that's almost like those fragranced dryer sheet. It's for you to put over your head so your make up doesn't go onto the clothes you are trying on. I'm sure most girls have seen this before, where you see makeup marks on clothes, yup, gross.
Some places request you to remove your shoes before you enter, I'm sure most people knows about it. Oh, you also have to take off your shoes before you step onto the changing room floor. Get ready for some smelly feet. =P
No need to give tips at restaurants, you can read that online.
The buses, at least in Wakayama, you enter from the back, not the front. We were waiting and thinking why he wasn't opening the door for us to enter lol. And you get off from the front. That was very interesting. The elders still have to get up from the back and walk all the way to the front to sit...
When you pay, put your coins on the tray, I'm so used to just putting it in their hand like we do here. When they give you change back, they will count each one back to you, just keep nodding lol!
When you buy a lot of stuff, they always ask if you want an extra bag. If the bags are pretty or worth keeping, I usually say yes please.
I think most of you know, they love to greet, smile and greet back.
I think that's all?

Chef's Playground Eatery Review
I've seen this place online before but I never went to try the place out. I don't know why I hardly come down to Steveston when I live somewhat close by. I will come here often, there are still other places I want to try.
This place isn't that big. Service is not bad. At first I was like why are they turning people away when there was a long table with empty seats. They actually had a reservation for 9 people. I was thinking would turning people away make people not want to come next time? Oh well, they had no choice.
Anyways, we ordered the crispy curry chicken burger ($13.50), bacon cheddar burger V2.0 ($11) and mushroom cheesey burger ($12).
The wait took a bit long, I think there was only one main chef that was actually cooking, the rest were waitress or helping him out.
My crispy chicken was ok size. The chicken was really crispy and I really like that curry sauce. There was this cold slaw at the bottom which gave it a tangy taste. The fries were really crispy but I thought it was close to being burnt taste for some. Overall, not bad.
Yes, I would come back again. Maybe come for brunch some day?

Screamers Soft Serve Review
I saw this online awhile ago but I never went. Finally decided to come since I have dinner area there.
Yes, dessert before dinner, oh so Cincin.
The ice cream isn't creamy, almost like a sorbet. I couldn't smell the strong pineapple taste like I did at another place. However, it did have a tangy pineapple flavour which was really nice.
The cone was normal. Premade store bought type.
I think I would prefer the cup over the cone.
Yes, I would come again.

I got the pineapple dole in a large cone. $4.50. My second pineapple dole ice cream. There are different pricing for different sizes and cone or cup.

Gokudo Shaubu Shabu Review
Running out of places to try. My friend wanted hot pot and suggested this place, good thing I've never been to. Even if I have, I would still go again.
It's not that big in there, there were 2 groups of people there when we got there. It got busier as we were about to leave. The service was good. They would pour more soup into our pot when we were running low.
It was individual pot, I've actually never tried that kind of hot pot before.
I got the pork combo ($16.95) and friend got the ribeye ($18.95).
The combo is actually ok size and you get full at the end. There were veggie, shrimp, some fish balls and others. You also get to pick a noodle or rice and a drink. I got the bean curd noodle (vermicelli) and milk tea.
Honestly, there was no taste if you just boil everything in the soup. They give you a "sa cha" sauce to dip everything in. I wish they have other sauces, like satay.
Would I come back...? Don't think so. I like Boiling Point more than this.
Oh, I got tummy problems at night, not sure if it's because of them. Maybe just me.

Bee Blu XXXII
There is this guy at boxing and we nicknamed him daddy. He guessed our age and we said it's pretty close to yours and he said really? Then you guys are pretty good. We asked why and he said "mostly girls around my age look like they are in their 50's, they age so much". I'm like... But YAY! Keep it up Cinnabun. I know some younger girls look way older than us, one it's their make up and another that's just them.
I'm not sure why but people keep asking me to teach them how to wrap their hand for boxing. It's the second time. I should have my own class at boxing, $2 session, how to wrap your hand and I'll be touching your hand lol!
Yi Fang bubble tea review, I really like that vintage ish décor, the floor tiles and all the wood. I got the sun moon lake black tea with pearls ($5), interesting name. Okay expensive. It was very dark, the taste was ok, to me the tea wasn't as strong as Tea Monarch. I drank it the next day so the pearls expanded, they were so tiny when I bought it. I wanted to try their black sugar something something. Maybe next time when I'm nearby.
I was falling in love with a married man when he sat across from me and broke my heart
You know this kind of stuff happens everyday. Even if the man has never been married before. I don't know what they are thinking either. It just feels so real and then all of a sudden they end things. The only answer I have is...they have problems themselves. They don't really know what they want yet. They are not ready for what is gonna happen next (cowards!), not ready to commit. Sweetie, you are just too good for them, they don't deserve you. You deserve WAY better, someone that knows what he wants and is ready for you and only you.
A woman asked for advice about her husband putting her down. One response has gone viral
"Feed your soul a better diet", yup. Oh, I have friends' boyfriends that does that to them (on the post). Not cool! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, I'm sure there was a reason why you fell for them so don't complain! Don't cry when they are gone, doing and looking better. One time bestie's boyfriend compared her to me. I'm like WTF? Don't compare me to my bestie, you will end up on my don't like list. I find that not nice, don't say that kind of stuff to my bestie! It also puts me in an awkward position! Guys...
Bride threatens guests when only seven people said they'd attend her destination wedding
Hey guys! It's another one of those stories haha! Love reading them. Seriously? $2000 to a Hawaii wedding. Yes, she may be good friends with those people but $2000 is a lot to some people. I don't know, maybe she is balling but doesn't mean everyone else is balling and have that much money to spend on her happiest day of her life. Why do people have to end friendship this way? People these days. I hope my friends and I won't be like them lol.
