Styo Dessert Review

I had this place on my list for awhile but it was further down Robson so I didn't go. Finally decided to go because dinner was nearby.

There was one table of people when we got there. It was pretty dead there but a few people came in when we were about to leave and some people got take out.

Service was not bad, the guy was pretty nice. I heard him talk on the phone in Canto when we got into the shop.

We went all out, we don't care how much we eat. Plus there is no such word as "diet" in my dictionary.

We ordered the large coffee dose and chocolate devil ($7.95), strawberry and matcha popsicle ($4.95?).

The strawberry popsicle had a salty taste or something at first but it tasted not bad after. I didn't really taste much strawberry, maybe I was rushing it and didn't take my time to really taste it? The strawberry part was a bit hard I guess because of the moisture of the fruit. My friend liked the matcha popsicle. I think he said the fruit ones are yogurt and the matcha one was ice cream. I actually wanted to try their berry one but he said it's sold out and forgot to remove it. =(

The coffee dose was so good! The ice cream didn't have that milk flavour that I don't like. I guess the coffee taste covered it up? I thought their soft serve was more firm compared to other places and I like this more. It had a nice coffee flavour and I love the coffee jelly half way through the ice cream. When I got to the bottom, I actually didn't like that powder thing. It gave a very rough texture, it would be better if it's a soft powder that just dissolves but no. That was the only thing I didn't like about it.

For the ice cream you get to choose ice cream or yogurt, he said the ice cream in cup but yogurt is on a plate or something? There are 2 sizes to choose from. I actually wanted to try their matcha ice cream but it wasn't on their menu. =(

Yes, I will be back to try other cool flavours and if I'm around that area. This place was so much better than that new place in Richmond (all that hype), won't name but it's the soft serve before this post.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka Review

I've been craving ramen for awhile already after my Japan trip. Decided to pick this one because I saw ok review online.

It's not too big in there and there was a line up before and after we eat. We waited a few minutes and we were seated. Service was not bad.

We both ordered the spicy miso ramen ($12.45).

I thought the whole thing had enough flavour but it wasn't really spicy to me. The ramen was a good texture. The char siu was like pork belly which I love (fat meat!). I was surprised that the seaweed didn't soak up the soup flavour.

I thought the portion could be bigger for that price (I do eat a lot). With that price I was surprised they don't give us an egg....

No, I won't come back. I saw tons of ramen places on the way. Gonna try them all with friends. =)

Daan Korean Cuisine Review

I was running out of places to eat as usual and then I saw this place. It's somewhat new and it's near where I used to live. Once again thank you for dinner!

It's not a very big place. When we got there we had to wait for a table but I saw 2 seats that were empty the whole time...at the end we were seated there anyways. I don't understand why they made us wait for a table when they have the spot. Weird.

Other than that the service was not bad. The girl that worked there looked familiar but I'm not sure where I've seen her before. Now I think about it, it may be this girl from school when I studied in early childhood education. Oh well.

Anyways, we ordered stone bowl al-bap ($12.99) and the spicy pork homestyle Korean BBQ meal ($14.99).

I thought the stone bowl was pretty unique because it's not like the traditional type with veggie and egg. Well, it had the same idea but different types of veggie and masago instead of an egg. It looked really pretty too, purple-ish, my favourite. It also came with a spicy sauce, to me it was so much more spicy compared to the one I had before for these stone bowls. The masago kind of got cooked while you stir everything up. I love the crispy rice from the bottom, so good. I thought the portion was a bit small compared to other places I've been to.

The spicy pork was really spicy but it was good. That set also came with a rice and a soy bean hotpot.

There were 3 side dishes, bean spouts, kimchi and potatoes. Bean spouts had a salty taste, kimchi was super spicy and potatoe were soft and sweet. You can't eat the kimchi alone, it's too spicy. I ate it with some bean spouts and potatoe to balance out the spiciness. Even my friend who can eat pretty spicy said it's spicy.

Overall, not bad but I wish the portion was a bit bigger. I don't think I would come back again, nothing else I really want to try on their menu.

Sushi Aria Review

My friend suggested to come here so we did.

I didn't know this place existed, I pass by sometimes but didn't know it was a sushi place. When we got there, there were few tables with people and then it got busier. We were asked to move tables because there was a group of 12 people that didn't make reservation.

Anywho, we ordered crunch fantastic roll ($9.25), red dragon roll ($10.25) and deep fried ice cream ($4 something).

The crunch fantastic was very crunchy with all that crispy toppings and the shrimp tempura.

I like the red dragon roll more, it had more flavour to it. I like how it was both unagi and spicy tuna on top. And it was pretty much a cali roll and I love cali rolls.

Both rolls were spicy but not crazy spicy. Friend thought the crunch fantastic was spicy but I thought it was ok.

The deep fried ice cream was interesting. I didn't expect them to cut it in half. The layer looked thick but it's alright. It tasted like donut to me, or maybe it was the oil taste? The ice cream was melting pretty bad. I think they put strawberry jam or something over it. It was really hard to eat, I tried to bite it and it would move and fall. Maybe they should make bite size ones, like those premade cream puffs size.

Yes, I would come again.

Paintball

If you know me, you should know I like to try new things. Friend got a Groupon, thanks!

When you get in, there is this really we smell. After you are done playing, that smell still linger you..ew!

They really know how to make money off of you, rent gloves for $7 something extra. The thing was already quite expensive on its own. And you know what sucks, the velcro on my glove didnt stick. I asked the guy if I can get another one, he said no, its rental, just wrap around and tuck it in. WOW! So I paid $7 something for crappy gloves? There was also holes on it.

That guy (who works there) really want us to kill each other. At one point he wanted me to go to another group and won't let me be with my friends. But my friend asked him to put me back with them. He always throw my bib too! HEY! I didn't paid you to bully me! I didn't like him near the end.

It was super hot in that suit, I didn't know we would be given a jumper to put on. If I knew I wouldn't wear my sweats...

I was hit 3 times during the whole thing, 1 on the hand, 1 on the arm and 1 on the back of the head close up! Like who the F hit people that close on the back of the head? Seriously, mother F er! Karma will find you. Yes, it does hurt!

Most of the time I didn't want to shoot because I only see their head. You should hit the chest where its protected. Those people just hit you anywhere. By the way, you play with strangers.

Overall, I hated it and no, will NEVER EVER come back again!

Home Delicacy Noodle Review

It's my second time here, we don't know where to eat anymore and my friends haven't been here before so it's ok.

It was dead when we went in, no-one was in there. I saw this lady with a baby cart came in but the person that works there was out smoking and no-one was serving her so she just left. They just lost a customer...

I ordered the dan dan noodle(?) and this fish noodle ($12.95) and friends ordered this pork and beef noodle ($8.95, I think).

Both of my noodle were spicy. I didn't expect that dan dan to be that spicy. I couldn't handle it. It had a strong peanut smell but when I taste it, it had this bitter peanut taste to it which I didn't like. It was a soupless noodle. The fish noodle I like a lot. It was spicy but not to the point where I couldn't handle it. The fish were soft. I really like that type of noodle. After I was done my fish noodle I had to put the dam dam noodle into the soup to wash down the spiciness, oh my. It was so much better, still spicy but it's good spicy.

One friend didn't really like it. Friend said the noodle had no taste and had to add soy sauce to it. Friend also thought the noodle wasn't as much as the other friend.

Overall, I think it's alright. I would still come back.

Too bad they don't have the pork hock noodle anymore. I wanted that. =(

Wo Fung Noodle Express Review

A friend decided to come here for dinner. We were supposed to come here few weeks before but they were closed for a certain period. Thanks for the treat. =)

I went in and the lady told me to sit on the side. I was thinking there are so many spots, why are you telling me to sit here? I wanted to sit somewhere with less people. When my friend came, we moved to the tables that were further inside. Then the lady came and said if you guys are sitting in here then sit closer to the wall. Like ok...

Before my friend came I was sitting there waiting and this lady was like did you order yet? I said no, I'm waiting. Then after a bit she gave me a receipt, I'm like, uh, I didn't order yet. I was already unhappy about something and she just had to make it worse! Then after when our food came, this lady gave us something that was for another table (fried onion or something). Really?

I got the noodle with curry fish balls, pork belly and beef tendon balls. I thought the whole thing had no taste at all. I had to get some I think satay sauce and dump it in for flavour. I think my mom makes better curry fish balls then that. Pork belly were thin. I think the only thing that had taste was the beef tendon balls but it was so hard to chew. I guess because it's "tendon". 3 balls were stuck together. Their satay sauce was so good, I wanna learn how to make it or where I can buy it.

My friend got their famous chicken wings (friend rated 6/10 I think) and a noodle with quite a few add ons.

I don't remember price but I think 2 toppings for $7 something 3 for $8 something and so on.

Nope, I won't come back again, other places with this kind of noodle are better than this place.

Miss Lina Review

I was super unhappy from work and needed dessert to make me happy. Had to wait for dinner so decided to come try Miss Lina. I didn't want to but that's the only dessert place I see that I havent tried in the area. I've heard of their crepe cakes but also heard that they are expensive so never tried. I really needed dessert so whatever.

Service was good until the end. The guy sounds very nice. Lady was nice too. I got my cake packed while I wait for friends, they put it in the fridge for me until I'm ready to leave. Then when I was gonna pay, that's when the problem started! I saw on the menu $6 something but then they said oh, he probably thought it was this one but we haven't been serving that for a month or so. WOW, I feel like I got ripped off! I ordered that but when I pay you say it's not that. She asked "is that ok?". Uh, what can I say? I'm not b**** enough. She didn't even say sorry! Such bad customer service!

Why is it even on your new menu if you haven't served that for awhile? Why don't you put a sticker over it? If it's not served for so long, he should have known better.

I even pointed at that name for $6 something and asked if it's the one on the picture. The guy said yes. And I pointed at the $6 something on the menu when I ordered! What a place! Yea, say whatever you want!

I got the chestnut crepe cake roll ($15 something).

It was very soft with lots of cream. There are chestnut pieces in the cream which I like. Not that sweet to me so it's not filling.

Their utensils are so cute, so tiny. But the knife was a bit hard to cut because it doesn't have those saw like marks. It was more like a butter knife.

The strawberries on the side were sweet.

The chestnut on top taste like those ready to eat packaged chestnut.

NO, I would never come back again!!! I actually wanted to try their rose crepe cake but not anymore. Their loss, not mine!

Seorae Review

My friend and I had been waiting for this place to open. When it opened we found lots of bad reviews but still decided to try ourselves.

We got there right when they opened, there were people waiting to be seated. We asked the girl about parking because it said first 90 minutes is free. We didn't understand her but we heard the word free.

Before we were seated I overheard other customers saying "hope we have enough space, have you seen their tables? So tiny". Right when I heard that, I looked and thought, that is pretty small. The place is ok big, it doesn't look big near entrance but there were more spots on the side.

We ordered the spicy pork belly ($22.95), budae stew ($15) and ddeokbokki ($9.95).

Friend told me about one review, "expensive and small portion". Yup, saw it with my own eyes. That pork belly... 4 thin slices for $23. Those are some expensive pork belly. You know T&T is just across the street? They should let us buy meat from T&T and they can just charge us service fee like Korea. Honestly, 4 slices... my wallet is crying.

My friend also said "service wasn't good. One table had 4 people serving them". Service was ok, the guy helped us cooked the meat and we didn't get that many people serving us. One thing about service, they already had our bill ready sitting beside us when I was still working on my food. The whole time I felt pressured. The dude who served us kept looking at us/table which also gave me pressure. There were lots of empty tables, why do you have to give us that pressure?

Anyways, pork belly, I thought it was ok marinated but not as spicy as I thought. It was easy to chew. There were different dips like spicy sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, onion sauce and something else. I thought it tasted good with the sweet soy sauce and sesame oil one.

The budae stew looked nothing like the picture since everything were at the bottom. I had to dig them back up for a picture. I believe this is the army stew. I can make that at home. I did 2 years ago. There were few slices of fish cakes, sausages, spam, tofu and ramen. It was quite spicy but tasted alright.

Ddeokbokki, rice cake is one of my favourite thing to eat. This dish was also quite spicy but had a tiny bit of sweetness to me. The rice cake were very chewy and soft. It didn't get hard even after awhile. There were also some fish cake.

Their side dishes could have been better. The kimchi was really spicy. The spicy salad was ok. I really like the squash or something with potatoe. It really helped with clearing the spiciness in the mouth.

The sides on the cooking pan thing. I don't know why they dont fill that other empty side up, it would look so much better. The egg had a tiny bit of sweetness to it, it was soft. The corn were really sweet.

Overall, I think it tastes ok but I find their meat super expensive for such a small portion. No, don't think I'll go back again, I have already tried what I wanted to.

Bee Blu XXXI

My coworker always say things like "you are the best", "doesn't matter what they say, you are the best", "you are amazing" and other stuff when he needs my help. It's nice, better than someone who gets mad at me or use this tone of voice on me.

I'm trying my best to come up with posts for the days I'm not posting reviews. Digging some old posts up. I don't really have much to say because nothing much happened.

Almost got killed trying to get to the doctor. The car wanted to change lane. Almost crashed into me. Look before you change dude! I had to turn my wheel and almost hit the curb and killed few people. I honked! I almost never honk. Thankful to be alive, thank you!

I normally don't do reviews on bubble tea so I'll type it here. Tea Monarch, came in and the place feel so big and empty. There were people studying or something. I was here waiting for dinner and blogging. The guy didn't say hi and he seemed I don't know. Just crappy service. Anyways, I got the oolong roast tea with pearls. It was very tea and pearls were not bad. A bit pricey for the size but ok. I caught some random dude looking at me...

The whole time at PT I'm trying to find wifi. Normally there is Telus but just when I needed it, it's not showing... It works every week on my tablet! Life...

I found wifi! I have to lift my phone high to get reception... So tired from lifting my head!

Some parents... they tried rain boots on and didn't even put them back on the shelves. That's how you show your kids what to do? Nice role models! Watch them be just like you in the future. Don't understand parents nowadays. Don't have kids if you aren't gonna teach them.

I Fell in Love With Someone Twice My Age, and Here's What I Learned
I don't know but I like older people now, at least 4 years older, as long as he is older. But obviously someone who has never marry or any kids. I understand where she is coming from. Hey, you won't know until you try. You won't know what you really want until you try. I always learn something when it doesn't work out.

Inside the world of 'paid dating': Two women share their stories.
Hm...I read a few posts on this whole sugar baby and daddy kind of thing. Would you do something like this? Me, I think I would only do it if all we do is just meet and nothing else lol. Hey, I'm a good listener and my company is worth it lol. It's probably something better to do when you are young, at least you have an excuse, "I was young and stupid and needed money".

An Open Letter to Anyone Who Thinks They're Fat (From Someone Who Is)
Totally understand her, been there, done that. Sometimes people are just so cruel, especially relatives and family friends. Trust me, when I was fat, those relatives will say "you are fat, lose weight" or "lose some weight, you will look better". So what if people are fat, what does that have to do with you people? If it bothers you that much, poke your eyes out. No-one wants to be fat okay? Who cares what people say, just be you, be happy. If you are skinny or fat, people will just keep judging so say F you and do what you like. You only live once, live to the fullest. Love the way she thinks at the end of the post, totally what I'm thinking. =)

Talked with a friend who wants to join a club.

Out of the blu, I like this song and kept listening to it, never happened to me though. In the beginning she asked the guy that question. It reminded me that I said something similar to Mr.6'2 before too, he said "I did". I know it was true, thinking about it made me tear. The question she asked the guy I actually wanted to ask someone that. I just know he didn't.

Not Sure How I Feel V

So the interviewing continues. Finding someone right for certain position is like finding a partner. It had to be the right one.

Anyways, boss came down and asked "what time is it"? I said "9:53am". I guess he likes it when people are super early for their interview. I remember I was haha. Better to be early than late and give a bad impression. First impression matters (cough - referring to someone).

So far, I think this first lady is ok. She was polite and nice to me. Not like some lady from before. Hey, don't look down at me because of my position. I matter a lot in this company, you just don't know. TEH! I know who is good and who is bad like Santa Claus LOL!

Boss liked her too, he said she was easy to talk to and remind him of current manager. I thought she was easy to talk to too. She said something to me after I buzzed my boss but he didn't hear me. I like people that keeps talking to me because I don't know how to talk in the beginning. I'll say anything I want when I feel comfortable and know the person more.

You won't know a person completely, time, time will tell. I just hope if boss does hire her, she will be as good and nice as manager to me. I hope she value me as much as manager. I don't ask for much. I just don't want someone to bully me at work. You know how soft I am. Only people are mean to me I can't be mean to people...

She also asked for my name at the end, I don't think anyone asks for my name...

Typed in April.

Went through a few ladies and one of them were hired. So far ok but there are stuff that I don't like and I think others don't like too. I overheard them talking (I don't join gossip, I like to eavesdrop). Oh well... I feel like she is gonna be order me around when manager is gone. I can feel it. My gut is always right.

Milk Cow Review

Heard about this place from someone and decided to go with a friend.

It was ok busy when we were there.

We ordered the Mont Blanc ($6.50) and Mango Tree ($6.50).

My mont blanc taste was so light. There was a milk flavour but it wasn't strong. It wasn't as sweet as I wanted it. The rock candies at the bottom was hard on my teeth. I thought the ice cream looks better on it's own without the cotton candy. My friend didn't like it either. Friend said the mango doesn't seem fresh.

No, I will not come back, I had better soft serve before.

Hanok Review

This place has been here for awhile but I've never tried. People say it's expensive but I think the price is similar to everywhere else.

It was so quiet in there. They turned the music on just when we were about to pay... I wish it was on earlier. It was so quiet that you can eavesdrop.

We ordered the stone pot bibimbap ($12.99) and japchae ($10.99).

I liked the bibimbap, at first not much taste, I had to add a lot of hot sauce into it. I like how the bottom had those hard rice, so good.

The japchae was pretty normal, like all japchae. It's one of my favourite but it got cold so they were all stuck together. It had enough flavour.

The side dishes were fine, however the potatoes were super different compared to what I had at other places. It was hard and it was salty, had a soy sauce taste to it.

I don't think I would go again. I rather try other Korean restaurant.

John 3:16 Malaysian Delights Review

Besties and I were supposed to go to another restaurant but then we realized it's closed so we went to this one instead. I never knew this place existed, I know there are a few restaurants on this street. This was to celebrate bestie's belated.

This place was pretty crowded. The service was good, the ladies were really nice. They came to our table quite a few times asking if we are ready to order...

We ordered the kari chicken ($14.95), char kaay teow ($10.95) and nasi goring ($10.95).

Kari chicken was my favourite, I love the curry sauce. It was so good, I had to put some onto the rice to eat. The chicken was very soft, not hard to eat. I also like the potatoe that was in it but not enough. I want to learn how to make that sauce, so good!

Char kaay teow was a flat rice noodle dish. There weren't a lot of shrimps. It was ok but it wasn't that flavoured or maybe because the kari chicken sauce was too flavoured so this one didn't have much taste?

Nasi goring was a fried rice, it was not bad. I really like the anchovies in it, they were crispy and a tiny bit salty. It came with a spicy ish sauce on the side but I like the sauce from the kari chicken more. How many times did I say that haha?

Will I come back? I guess I would, just order the kari chicken hahaha! I kind of want to try their Laska next time.

Bee Blu XXX

Just wanted to say one thing to someone, "yes, you won but you also lost", remember that. If I'm hard to deal with, good luck with others!

Hm...this blog title is interesting lol. But don't worry, no XXX content on here. =P

I was watching this sitcom and this couple broke up because of something but they still have something for each other especially the guy. I was just thinking how I heard from somewhere that how people let go of the right ones when that right one is infront of you. Yes, but how would people know if they are the right ones? Everything in life is a gamble. I was also thinking if they did seperate for some reason and they are meant to be, I'm sure they will cross path again and maybe end up together again. But I was also thinking, if it's meant to be, why did they seperate in the first place? Life...

Another part was saying, "yes, he isn't 180 (height) but I like the feeling, right feel is all it matters". I totally agree, it's the feeling that counts, doesn't matter what he looks like or how tall he is or what he has.

You know that feeling when you feel like someone was part of your trip because you shared details with them. I don't know how to explain but just suddenly felt like I shared both of my trips (2017 and 2018) with someone I liked but in the end I can't be with either, life... What is life trying to do? I should stop talking to people during my trips but I don't know why I like the guys during that time... And it feels right both times. Maybe the dude during my 2019 trip will stay forever? We'll see what life has for me next.

Manager always get me things to appreciate my hard work. She got me flowers for the second time haha! She was thinking chocolates or flowers. Boss came down and he asked "someone got you flowers?" I said "yea, manager". He said you should have said "yea, some cute guy did". Boss, I will say that someday soon, keep waiting lol!

This family lives for free in their self-sufficient biodome
Wow, that's actually really pretty and cool.

9 men on how they knew immediately that they had met the one
Aww, I want to know how that feels too. Knowing that someone is the one. Well, I kinda had that feeling before but then we didn't end up together. It was all just a dream. I knew they weren't the one when they weren't even trying to make things work.

A bride has absolutely LOST IT at her wedding guests in the greatest rant of all time
Hm...I thought weddings only end friendships. She totally ended everything. But really? Asking your guests to give you money? I always say, if you don't have money don't have a wedding or just keep it low key. "If you don't have such a big head, don't wear such a big hat".

9-year-old dies by suicide after bullying, mom says
My heart was shattered when I read the title. A 9 year old... I know kids in school can be quite cruel sometimes, I've seen it myself when I was young. School is probably the worse years to go through in a person's lifetime (if you are unlucky). I think parents should teach each and every one of their kids that everyone is different and everyone likes different things. Don't bully or judge someone because they are different. I guess some kids are like that because their parents are like that too. Kids are sponges they soak up and learn from what they see/ hear etc. Teach them when they are still young.

Out of the blu, I think I was gonna post another song but heard this and not bad. "Are you happy now?".
Zedd & Elley Duhé - Happy Now
"There's nothing left to say
So I shut my mouth
Are you happy now
You're the only one, who can up and run, leave me just as empty as the day you came
You hold all the cards, all the broken hearts, strung over your shoulder till it's all in vain
You keep on talking sweet, till your fingers bleed, but don't you dare ask me how I've been"

Kakurega Ramen Factory (隠家拉麵工場 ) Review

I saw this place online last year but I didn't know where it was so I didn't try. My brother told me about it this year so I decided to go try.

It was located in a not very noticable place. All the way at the back of all these little shops on the 7th floor of Dragon Mall in Sham Shui Po.

When I passed by the first time there was a line. The second time it was empty, when they opened at 11am. It's a small restaurant.

The decor was very simple, they probably saved a lot of money from renovating. It was just some simple woods around the whole restaurant. I really like how they use those soda buckets as table legs and chairs. It was a bit uncomfortable to sit. I have no clue where to put my legs.

Service was ok, nothing special.

We ordered the veggie ramen ($89) and the tomatoe ramen ($99).

The tomatoe ramen was nice. The ramen was in a separate bowl. You dip the ramen in the soup bowl and eat. The soup didn't have a strong tomatoe flavour. It had a strong meat flavour, not sure pork or beef. It wasn't thick but ok. It was a bit on the salty side but if it's not salty, it will have no taste. There were a few pieces of cha sui, an egg, bamboo and tomatoes. The egg was good, still yolky inside.

The ramen noodle was the same thickness as what I usually see in Vancouver. It had a good texture.

The amount was not bad but it's quite expensive for a HK meal.

I tasted a lotus thin from my aunt's, it wasn't that good to me. I didn't like the taste of it.

Yes, I think I will come back again. I want to try their black ramen.

Thanks for lunch!

Fairwood Review

I had no idea what to eat after shopping so decided to eat at a chain restaurant.

No clue what to eat, after some help from someone I decided to try their mushroom chicken clay pot set ($49 hkd).

I wanted to take out because I don't like eating alone, such a loner... but they won't allow because the claypot is too hot for take out. So I ate by myself while someone somewhat accompanied me over messaging.

It was a huge meal for that price. It came with soup and veggie as well. The veggie was veggie taste lol. The soup was carrot and corn with meat. It tasted not bad.

The rice was super hot, had to add the soy sauce for flavour. There were quite a few pieces of chicken and one piece of mushroom. The mushroom had a bitter taste so I didn't eat it. The chicken was very soft and smooth.

Sometimes I don't like that hard rice at the bottom of clay pots, especially when it's burnt. This one was good, it wasn't burnt and had a nice crisp to it. It got stuck in my teeth as usual.

Service was good, they bring the food to you when it's ready. And this guy told the grandma not to bother me. She said "pretty girl, eat first". I was on my phone... and the food was super hot...

Yes, I would go back. They always have different food for an ok price.

Godiva HK Review

I've always wanted to try their ice cream but we don't have any in Vancouver, I think we do, like one store but far from home, not sure.

Decided to just try it in HK, it may be more expensive or something but whatever, can't wait.

I got the chocolate one ($50 hkd), it reminds me of the one truffle one that I got last time. As dark in colour. The taste was a bit similar too but no truffle taste. I guess it's dark chocolate, not very sweet.

The cone was crispy.

Yes, I would come again, I want to try other flavours next time.

Thai Chiu (泰潮) Review

Don't know what to eat and I saw ok review for this place so decided to go try. My aunt said usually Michelin restaurants in Hong Kong are not that good.

We got the Hainan chicken rice and pork shank set ($58 hkd each I think).

I thought the Hainan chicken was not bad. Some part of the chicken was still red, but most of the time restaurants serves that... The rice was ok, had some chicken oil flavour. I like that sauce that came with it, it wasn't too spicy. It came with a cucumber salad which was not bad. The soup was a bit salty.

My aunt's pork shank was filled with fat meat...

No, don't think I will come back again. If I really don't know what to eat I may. But it's HK, how can there be nothing to eat. Just too many choices.

Chestnut King (皇甘栗) Review

I saw this place on TV and you know how much I like ice cream.

They had interesting flavours so I decided to go try hehe.

I got the chestnut and preserved plum flavour ($25hkd) and if you are gonna take out, they charge $5 or $10 for the bag.

Chestnut was not bad, it actually have some chestnut bites to it. The texture was a bite hard, maybe it was just too cold? I think the milk taste was a bit strong to me and I wish the chestnut flavour was stronger.

The preserved plum, I took one spoonful. It's ok but I like the chestnut more. It had a sourish taste. My aunt liked it though.

Yes, I would go back if they have other interesting flavours but they are located super far away from home.
