I saw this place a while ago online when I was trying to find an ice cream place. Decided to try it this time. It's tiny in there but ok. The woman was very nice and she seemed very passionate in making her drinks and trying to make it pretty.
I got the honeydew with pearls ($6), don't think they add money for pearls because my total was only $6.30.
They made it from fresh fruits. I didn't see but it taste like no sugar added drink. Normal bubble tea places add lots of sugar into their drink or use powder. It was light in taste but still had the honeydew taste. The pearls had no sweetness taste to it, some places put them in syrup.
I thought that was it but they actually offer to put ice cream and popping bubble on top of it. I was like OH. We already paid so there was no extra cost to it. She topped mine with vanilla and tiger tiger which was good. Tiger tiger was orange ice cream with some kind of black syrup, I didn't like the syrup much.
Friend got the ube smoothie ($6.80, tax included).
Overall, I thought $6 was pricey but it was from fresh fruit so it's not bad for the price. The size was a large, you can choose small as well. Plus you get pearls and add on as well for that price. Can't really get that at these other bubble places. I like how the couple there were very nice and passionate. Will come back again.
However, I thought their location was located at the quite end of Robson. I'm not sure how long they will last.

Flower and Horse in Spring Review
I saw this place online when I was searching for noodle and the name of this place attracted me. They try to translate it from their Chinese name which was funny. The place isn't very big and it got busier as we were eating.
We ordered the hot in a pot ($14.95) and hardcore ($13.95).
Hot in a pot, I wish they would put it in a different pot, I kind of touched it a bit when I was trying to stir my noodle. The taste was ok, it had a light spiciness to it which was good or else my tummy will burn again. The noodle was the type that I like. There weren't a lot of interesting toppings as you can see. I thought my bowl was quite small for the price.
Hardcore, I would get that if it didn't have pork intestine in it.
Overall, just ok, no, don't think I'll come back again. Nothing special and ok pricey.

Penang Delight Cafe Review
Decided to take someone here. I saw it online and it seemed ok. It wasn't too big in there, tables were filling up after a bit and people were waiting at the door. Service was soso. The woman kept asking if we were ready to order and when I paid at the front she didn't say thank you.
We ordered 2 noodle, prawn meehoon and mee ($11.95) , fried prawn hokkian mee ($12.95) and beef skewers ($7.45).
The fried noodle was quite good to me. It had enough flavor without adding the spicy shrimp paste sauce. The colour of the dish looked very plain. It had a few shrimp and squid pieces. They had a bouncy texture to it. We both liked the 2 different noodle in it. It had the yellow noodle and this rice noodle. The shrimp paste sauce was ok spicy but a good dipping sauce for the seafood since those don't have much taste to it.
The other noodle to me lack in taste but it has a sweetness to it which was not bad. There was a tiny spiciness to it but not really. Someone liked the soup. I liked the fish cake in there, I always like those. There were some seafood, egg and meat in there. This one used 2 different types of noodle as well, one was yellow noodle and thin vermicelli. The vermicelli had more taste than the yellow noodle.
The beef skewers were just soso. It had enough flavour but some weren't very tender. I had one with hard tenden which was really hard to eat. The sauce wasn't very peanut sauce to us. I thought it had a sweetness to it, a little mango taste and there were a few peanut bites in it.
Overall, it was ok, not bad. I don't think I would go again though because nothing else I want to try and that woman didn't even thank me.

Sushi Mura Review
Someone decided to go here with his friend and wife. We have been to the other location ourselves. This location was bigger and the decor was nicer. It wasn't as crowded as the old location.
We ordered quite a few dishes. Crazy rabbit roll ($9.95), dragon roll ($6.50), cali roll ($3.25), futomaki roll ($4), special mango roll ($9.95), assorted tempura roll ($8.95), deep fried cali ($5.95) and 2 miso soups ($1.50 each). Someone paid for it, thanks.
I liked the crazy rabbit roll the most. Not sure why it's called that but ok. Sucks how it only comes in 5 pieces. I'm not sure what was inside the roll because it was topped with tempura flakes and there was a spicy sauce on it. I've never tried a roll with veggie wrapped around it like this. It was ok big for a sushi.
Special mango roll had a sweetness from the mango and pineapple and I also tasted something salty, not sure what it was.
The futomaki was not bad, it had a sweetness to it which was not bad.
The dragon roll was soso to me. I guess because it was like a avocado roll with a little bit of masago in it and topped with unagi. I thought the taste was interesting but not something I really like.
The deep fried cali roll didn't taste as good as the other location for some reason.
The tempura were crispy. Cali roll was normal but good.
Overall, not bad and will come again. I was a bit disappointed that their sushi were like falling apart.

Happy Tree House Review
Friend wanted to come here for dinner. I always pass by it but never went in because I'm not a big fan of skewers and they are always pricey. It's ok size in there. I quite like the décor but the chair was somewhat hard on the bum. Their washroom were a bit smelly and I don't think they change the garbage cans, it was so filled up.
Service was ok I guess? We had to ask for bowls and spoon, not sure why they don't just provide it to us. They changed our plates after a bit. Most memorable was when we were leaving and the waiter asked if he can clean the table. Uh, ya, since we are leaving...
We ordered quite a few things, the cod fish with preserved veggie ($45), chicken wings and lamb skewers, lotus roots and something (not sure about price), thanks.
I know there are tons of this fish places out there and it's my first time trying. It was actually not bad. The fish was very soft and smooth. No fishy smell/taste to me. The fish didn't have that preserved veggie taste to it. The veggie was very good though, I always like eating those. After a bit I thought everything tasted very salty. The fish was ok big with some bones. The price is ok pricey but I'm not sure how much a fish costs out there.
I tried the chicken wings, it was ok, very tender but not too special to me. Not sure about the beef but friends liked them.
The lotus root had no taste to me and it was pricey. The lotus were very crispy, I think it was raw? Not sure. The other dish had a spiciness to it. To me, it was ok but I don't like that spiciness taste. Reminds me of that noodle that I tried and had the exact same spiciness to it. Both were soso to me so I didn't eat much and focused on the fish.
Overall, it was ok, very pricey. No, don't think I would come back again or try other fish places. Tried once and I'm done.

Otaru Sushi Review
Decided to try these place, ok close to home but never really ate in this mall. I'm not sure why they had to seat us by the door when there were empty tables inside, it was cold every time the door opens! Service was ok I guess?
We ordered the Otaru roll ($12.95), red roll, some aburi roll and salmon sushi. I don't know names or pricing because I can't remember and not much info online.
My favourite roll was the otaru roll, maybe because it has the sauce and it was good? The tempera prawn was still ok crisp.
The aburi one would be my next favourite, it was different from the traditional boxes aburi sushi. It was roll but had the same idea. It had a little kick to it from the jalapeno, They rolled it over tiny fish roe.
Least favourite was the red roll. It's not bad but seemed normal. It was ok spicy. With these spicy rolls you can't taste much except the spiciness. You can't tell how fresh the sashimi are.
Overall, it alright, not bad. I think I would come again. I wanted to try the spider roll but they didn't have it, fine... Oh and the size of the sushi were ok small for the price, I don't get why can't they make it a bit bigger, it would attract more people to come.

Mambo Cafe Review
Someone wanted to eat this. I think we will try every stall in this food court lol!
We ordered the stir fried beef noodle and the Saturn pork chop spaghetti (both $10 something), thanks.
My beef noodle was lacking taste, we both had better beef noodle than that. The beef was ok soft but no flavour.
The Saturn pork chop looks normal but the pork chop was ok flavoured and very soft as well. The sauce tasted like ketchup, not like the normal spaghetti sauce. The ham was ham, flavoured.
Overall, the size was definitely ok for the price. My dish just lacked flavour. No, don't think I would try again, next stall lol!

Soy Talk Review
Finally get to try this place. We wanted to when they first open but their ice cream machine broke down, like really? It's not every big in there but the décor was nice. There were a few people there when we were there. Their ice cream menu didn't have much on there. Well, there were a few flavoured but then they crossed them out on the menu at the cashier. They said they only have matcha and soy flavour.
We got both soy and matcha flavour ($5.50 each).
The size was ok I guess. We both thought it looked funny, yea, you know. I liked the soy more, it has a light soy flavour. I like it when the soy flavour is stronger but not a lot of places make them strong. The pearls were a bit warm in the beginning, chewy and a light sweetness to it. There were these dry pork like shaving, someone said don't think it's pork because the dude told him it's all vegetarian? I wonder what they made those with then, kind of cool.
The matcha flavour had a light matcha taste to it as well. I guess if it's too strong, it covers the soy taste?
Overall, I think it was ok but we feel like they won't last long. I should have tried their tofu pudding but that was like $10... if it was made with gold, I would try. But it was just normal tofu pudding.

Pho Hoa Review
Haven't been to this place for so long, I believe they renovated the place, looks different. We came because I got a coupon in the mail. Service was ok I guess.
We got the spicy pho ($10.50) and the all beef pho ($9.55) and a summer roll ($3.95). Buy one get one so no $9.55. I don't think they charge tips as well, I saw them take someone's card and swiped. Thanks.
I wanted the just enough size for mine but they said that one only has regular or large. The waiter gave someone my regular bowl and someone gave it back to me. The waiter said oh, normally guys eat that size, he seemed shocked. Not that I didn't want the smaller one but you guys don't let.
Anyways, my spicy pho was different from the other places. This one had a coconut milk taste to it which I prefer them not adding. I like the normal place where it's just spicy peanut taste. This wasn't that spicy. The beef felt a bit overcooked but still ok to chew. The noodle were soft and I wish they would put more in. Normally when I eat pho I get ok full but I think I got a bit hungry after this.
The normal pho was not bad, Enough flavour.
The summer roll looked disappointing to me, it looked so white. It tasted ok but they put in raw sprouts and I hate it raw! So told someone to eat it all.
Overall, it's not a bad place if you don't want to spend too much. Food was just soso. I would still come back but tons of other places to try.

Kanzo Sushi Review
Decided to take someone here. Reviews were ok and they have purple looking rice. When we got there, there was only one other table there. Then it got busy and quite a few people got take out. There were a few people that came to eat before the Canucks game. They also do 10% off for take out. Service was good.
We ordered the roll combo ($10.50), beef bento box ($11.95) and the deep fried cali roll ($4.95).
We choose brown rice, but they only gave brown rice to us for the rolls not bento. The deep fried cali was not bad. We thought this other place was better because they put more sauce on. Their cali rolls are different because they have tons of imitation crab in it, 1 or 2 thin slice of cucumber and no avocado. We thought the brown rice had enough flavour without dipping soy sauce. I thought it had a sweetness to it. The batter was very thin and it had a crisp to it.
The roll combo looked a lot. They put lots of stuffing into the dynamite roll. It was exploding on each end. They added this tiny tempura shrimp and thin slice of yam in it, tons of imitation crab. The cali was same as deep fried but without the fried part. The salmon roll, they put very little salmon in.
The bento box, I wish they had more sauce for the beef. There were tons on a few slice and the rest had little to nothing. The cali were same as the brown rice ones but with white rice. The deep fried dumpling had a light crisp to it, tasted not bad. The miso soup was a bit different to me. I think they used beef broth or something, colour was so dark. Veggie dressing was ok, had a tang to it.
Overall, not bad but I think they can put more stuffing in for that price and not just imitation crab. Yes, I would come back again.

Zui Yun Nan Review
Decided to try this new ish place. It was empty in there, there was one table that came after us after a bit. The old restaurant in this location was dead too for some reason, maybe bad luck spot? The service was ok I guess? She pretty much stayed at the cashier most of the time.
I ordered the pepper one ($11.95).
The size is normal compared to other yun nan noodle places. Dump everything in again. There were a few pieces of meat at the bottom. The noodle came a bit later and a friend and I thought it was a bit over cooked. It was very very soft. Other friends thought it had a chewy texture, don't know. There were these root like bamboo kind of stuff that I didn't like, tasted weird to me. Other stuff were very normal that I don't think I need to describe.
The soup was very spicy. I tried to drink it and it had this burning feeling to my throat and it was killing my stomach a bit afterwards.
Overall, soso, I feel like it won't last long, too quiet in there and tons of these restaurants nowadays.

Hime Sushi Review
Someone had 2 places in mind and decided to pick this one. It was ok busy in there. At first they seated us at the bar then we asked to change to table when people left.
We got the spicy seafood udon ($13.50), the asari pasta ($12.50) and the hime roll ($5.95), thanks.
The seafood udon looked quite nice, very red. It wasn't that spicy, a little but it had a tiny sweetness to it. I guess because there were tons of onion? The udon was more on the soft side and I like it a little chewy. It had enough flavour. There were quite a few tiny clams and shrimps, a mussel, a pink fish cake like thing, small cabbage and tons of onion.
The asari pasta which was a yaki udon was quite good. It was garlic cream flavour. To me, it wasn't that garlic but has enough flavour. There were bonito shaving on top and someone was so amused, so cute. The other table was looking at the bonito moving too. There was a few clams on it but very tiny.
The hime roll was not bad. It's almost like a normal roll. I like how it has tamago in it so it has this sweetness to it. We thought there would be more than 5 pieces for that price.
Overall, not bad at all. Even better if the portion was bigger for the price.

Firecrust Neapolitan Pizzeria Review
Someone likes pizza but knows I don't like cheese so never picked a pizza place. I can still eat even if I don't like. Decided to take someone here because someone likes the fire type of baking pizza. The place is ok size. Service was good. It was our first time there so didn't know how the build your own pizza work.
We got the build your own pizza ($12.95 + $1.50 add on fee). I asked the gal about toppings, she said 5-6 toppings or it will be soggy but she didn't say there would be an add on fee but whatever, it wasn't that much.
We added anchovies, bacon, salami, green pepper and tomatoe as toppings. We half the sauce, tomatoe and pesto, added oregano. We had the mozzarella cheese on one side only.
Someone made me eat a bit of the cheese one, it was ok, couldn't really taste the cheese, I guess I can eat with cheese next time.
We both thought the anchovies had a strong salty taste which I really like. The crust was very thin but part of it was burnt. The pesto side was a bit oily, it totally soaked through onto the plate. Everything tasted really good though, we both liked it.
Overall, not bad for the price, the size was ok big too, we shared. We will come again.

Yah Yah Ya Review
Tried this place in Richmond long time ago. We passed by the one in Downtown and thought it looked nice. Then we realized it was Yah Yah Ya. The place was ok size and service was ok but for some reason I didn't really like that waitress. Maybe because she doesn't seem to like me.
We ordered the abura soba ($10.75) and the garlic miso ($12.25), thanks.
The abura soba looked kind of plain but the flavour was ok. The oil didn't taste like sesame oil, just plain oil to me. Not a lots of sauce but had enough flavour so it was good. The shredded cha sui was normal to me. The egg was jelly like but not super marinated like the ones I have tried before. Good thing they cook their sprout or else I don't know how to eat them. The noodle had a nice texture. For this ramen, you can't choose texture of noodle, flavour and oil amount.
The garlic miso, I didn't really taste the garlic but it was a strong broth, someone got the heavy taste one so I guess that's why.
Overall, it's ok. I guess I will come back again but tons of others to try.

The garlic miso, I didn't really taste the garlic but it was a strong broth, someone got the heavy taste one so I guess that's why.
Overall, it's ok. I guess I will come back again but tons of others to try.
