Saw this place online and wanted to try, not much churro places in Vancouver. It was a really tiny place.
I got the churro bowl with maple walnut ice cream ($6.50) and friend got the churro bites ($5.25).
The size was ok, there were short churros all around the cup and a scoop of ice cream in the middle. The ice cream had real walnuts in it with a light maple taste, not bad. The churros were crispy with sugar coating, very good. Reminds me of the Chinese donuts again.
Yes, I would go back again.
There was only a man working so may have to wait but it's worth it.

Mumbai Local Review
I believe I saw this place online but some dude told me about it as well. Some stuff on their menu attracted me so I decided to go try. Their dabba attracted me but I totally didn't see serve from 11am-3pm! It's very "long" in there. Service was ok.
I ordered the missal pav ($15), guava kulfi ($5), friend ordered kombadi vade ($19) and falooda ($7).
The missal pav, wasn't something I really like. First thing I thought was... that is pretty small for the price. It looked like a soup to me. The taste was not bad, it got spicier after a few spoonfuls. There were these short noodle like things, I have no clue what they are but they were hard and had a light cumin taste to it, it got soft after it soaked some sauce. They had nuts in there which I didn't like, they were hard on my teeth. The bread was not bad, very oily from the butter but really nice for soaking that curry/sauce up.
I thought my friend's chicken dish was so much better but it's a bit more expensive too.
The guava kulfi was a super duper tiny popsicle that I think it was WAY over priced. It's one of those, try it and never again. It is unique so it's ok. I don't really taste any guava. All I taste is this saltiness and spiciness. I believe the shell was a white chocolate.
The falooda, I tried a bit. I don't think it was anything special. Friend said it's like a milkshake, and thought the vermicelli was unnecessary, there was no taste to it. Another unique thing.
Overall, I thought it was just ok. No, not coming back.

Sura Review
Someone decided to take me here, thanks! It's my second time, I think the portion was smaller but I don't remember. We got the lunch set ($15 per person).
I forgot how many dishes there were, you can check on their website. The only thing is they changed the fish to this spicy fish.
My favourite was actually the beef dish, I guess because it was well marinated and I couldn't taste the beef taste much.
The other dishes were ok, the tofu soup was quite tiny but it was good, not too spicy, really good with rice.
The pancake not much taste and wasn't crispy.
The green bean jelly was...no taste but a light sesame oil taste.
The pork belly had a better taste than my first time, I remember the first time it had no taste.
The bean sprout dish also had a sesame oil taste to it and that's all.
The spicy fish was actually not bad but I'm not really a seafood person.
The sweet and sour pork was ok but it was quite hard when it got cold.
I liked the side dishes, kimchi was ok spicy. Love the sweet potatoes and those little sweet beans are ok.
I didn't eat the salad at all, not a veggie person.
Overall, not bad for the price I guess. If someone says it's a good deal, I guess it is.

Yum Creamery Ice Cream Shop Review
I saw this place before and decided to try. It's a candy store that also has ice cream.
Service was nice. The guy came to us and asked if we know how their candy thing work. They don't go by weight but boxes.
I got the earl grey honey ($5) and my friend got 2 flavours.
I thought it tastes ok, not too sweet and I thought it had that cream taste. The cone was crispy.
Would I go back? No, I don't think so. I already tried what I needed to try.

General Public Sushi Lodge Review
I saw this place online and thought it was cool. Then I found out it's another branch of this other sushi place that I have been to N years ago. I recognized their decor.
Service was ok, there was only one girl working. It was lunch time too, so weird. When we were ready to pay, it took a little while which was ok. We could just talk a little longer.
We ordered quite a few rolls. I got the roe money roe probrem ($9.50), the sweetheart ($8.95), volcano roll ($8.50), the red ninja ($8.95) and erotica ($7.95).
My favourite roll was the sweetheart, that black sesame sauce was so good. I think they put hoisin sauce in it. It kinda reminds me of the filling inside the sweet dumplings. Roe money is ok too but I like the first one more. It was spicy I think but it wasn't that spicy to me. I tried my friend's volcano roll it like fried cali roll. I tried one red ninja but I thought it had no taste, maybe it was just that one?
Yes, I would go again, there are a lot of rolls I want to try. I may get the sweetheart again because of the black sesame sauce.

Sweet Honey Dessert Review
My friends ordered the grapefruit sago, one with tofu pudding and I got the black sesame with walnut sweet soup and mochi.
The black sesame doesn't have that strong black sesame taste which was disappointing. The walnut, it's my first time trying, it taste not so good to me. Won't try again. The mochi was not bad, it had a black sesame filling which was sweet and had a black sesame taste to it. I thought the mochi would be a peanut filling but it's not. Overall, I thought the sweet soup wasn't sweet enough and it was very thick. I guess it's supposed to be that thick.
My friends seem to like their dessert.
I don't think I would go again but I do want to try their peanut mochi.

Ramen Kobo Review
Saw this online for awhile and finally get to try it. It was really quiet in the beginning but got really crowded when we were about to leave.
The service was not bad.
We each ordered the different ramen on the menu and the chicken karrage.
My shio ramen was a bit on the plain side compared to the other ramen I have tried. Should have got the more salty one. The texture was just right, not bad. Their chasiu didn't have much taste and more on the lean side. The egg was not bad, ok marinated and nice soft center. The other toppings on the side didn't have much taste to me.
My friends said their ramen had enough flavour. The shio is the lightest of all so can't blame me for thinking it had no taste.
The karrage was not bad. I think they mixed a bit garlic powder on it for flavoring. The inside was very soft so it was good. Light crispy outside.
I probably won't go back because I have a ramen list to try. It's not a bad place though.

Sweet Jesus Review
I saw this place opening soon when I was last at metro. Finally get to try this place. It's not big in there and nowhere to sit.
I ordered the regular size Krusty the cone ($6.50).
When I show the thing I was like shocked. It was huge! Only the cotton candy on the side had taste. And that strawberry sauce on top. When you finish the top part, everything else had no taste, just vanilla. It was quite filling and it didn't taste that great after awhile.
Overall, I think it was quite big for the price but I don't think I'll get it again.

Mama Rich Review
Not sure what to eat so decided to try this place. It wasn't that big in there and the door was super hard to open or maybe I'm just too weak?
Service was ok but I didn't like how they don't let you seperate bill. They only accept cash or debit.
We ordered the beef noodle ($9.98) and I ordered the traditional escargot rice noodle in spicy soup ($8.98)
The noodle reminds me of this other place that we have tried. I thought my noodle was ok. It was mild spicy but it was ok spicy. I really like the marinated veggie on the side. It was well flavoured and enough spiciness. They said there are escargots but there were only like 2 pieces. They weren't snails, more like those shellfish or something.
My friend ordered non spicy but it was still spicy. I guess it's because of the veggies on the side.
Overall, it was ok but I think I would go and try other places. I would love to learn how to make that veggie on the side. So good!

My Shanti Review
I've always wanted to try one of his restaurants and I finally did. Thanks for the treat! We all went for manager's farewell. Anyways, I believe this is one of the celebrity chef, Vij's restaurant.
I got the ginger beer to try, not bad. It's non alcoholic, it was very ginger which was nice. If you drink a lot at the same time, you will feel this heat inside of you.
We ordered appetizers, few samosas ($10.95 for 2), gol gappa ($$1.75/shot) and potatoe patties ($11 for 3). We ordered a few mains, chicken korma ($19.95), coconut karahi chicken ($17.5), beef ($20.25), cod ($18.95) and other ones but I don't know. We ordered a lot. We also got some naan.
The gol gappa was interesting. They said it's to cleanse your taste bud. It's a little water shot with this crispy thing. The waitress suggested to pour some of the water into the crispy puff then eat it and drink the whole thing up. That water was funny at first but I really like that herb and minty taste at the bottom. I thought it was really good.
The samosas, you can't really go wrong with samosas. It was both beef and chicken together but somehow it looked like all beef to me. It was well flavoured and had a little kick to it. Really good.
The potatoe patty, I didn't get to try so can't comment.
The mains, I can only comment on the ones I have tried. My favourite one was the coconut karahi chicken. I was surprised because the best one is supposed to be the chicken korma. I thought the coconut one just taste so much better. I can't describe it. It didn't have a coconut flavour or anything to me.
The chicken korma, I thought it was a bit burnt like taste so it wasn't my thing. The curry was good, they weren't super spicy.
I tried a bit of the cod, not bad but I prefer the meat ones.
The beef was very soft, almost like melt in your mouth.
Overall, it was not bad but very pricey, good thing I didn't have to pay haha. I kind of wanted my own curry because parents are on vacation so I can take leftover home and don't have to cook, oh well.
